This guest house is serene and still only a couple kilometers outside of downtown Fort Portal. Food is good. Very hot water.

Wir sind noch nie in Uganda so unfreundlich empfangen worden wie hier. Unfreundlich, arrogant, herablassend. Wir haben uns von der korpulenten Mitarbeiterin 2 Tage behandelt gefühlt wie ein Mülleimer. Die schlanke Kollegin ist netter, der Mitarbeiter auch. Die Lodge selbst ist 25 Jahre alt und auch auf diesem Stand. Eine Art Reihenhaus wie ein Motel, Wasserschäden im Zimmer, Dusche mit Vorhang, so dass nach dem duschen das das ganze Bad nass ist und eine Bettdecke, die von so schlechter Qualität und so dünn war, dass wir nachts sehr gefroren haben. Sämtliches Gemüse ist völlig ungewürzt und zwischen verkocht und fast roh ist alles möglich, das Fleisch so lala. Sehr einfaches Frühstück ohne Käse, Aufschnitt und Müsli, kein Toast, nur weiches Brot. Der Manager ist sehr nett und bemüht sich, dafür eigentlich 5 Sterne. So bekamen wir in der 2. Nacht eine gute Decke. Gut: Die Lage mit einem schönen Garten und einer kleinen Terrasse vor dem Zimmer, nette Terrasse vor dem Speiseraum. Wlan nicht immer. Jetzt sind wir im wunderschönen Kibale Forest Camp und wissen Schönheit,gestalterischen und technischen Standard und die Freundlichkeit sehr zu schätzen.

Our stay at Ruwenzori view guest house has been amazing. I definitely recommend this accommodation!

The rooms were clean and very comfy. The food was freshly homemade and more than delicious and also the staff was very kind, generous and happy to help if questions were coming up. All in all we had a very pleasant stay.

We only came here for dinner and a cup of tea before.
They do dinner at 7.30 PM, and apparently you have to make a reservation (which we didn't, but that was fine). They have a lot of food. As a starter 2 kinds of soup (lentils and something else I dont remember), main: different kind of veggies, 2 types of meat and a salad. Desert: home made chocolate ice cream. All of it very nice. The only downside is, there wasn't a lot of ice cream (they did have a lot of the starter and main course tho).

Before we had dinner we had a cup of tea, and the tea is quite pricy here.

The owner of the place is an interesting person, and can give you tips about where to go in Uganda.
