PARADOR DE NERJA ^{* * * *}

El servicio muy bueno,y sobre todo Óscar en recepción

Estuve dos días lunes y martes de esta semana. El parador está totalmente envejecido. Necesita una remodelación total no solamente pintura, que es lo que están haciendo. Una lastima.

Nos encantó, comida muy buena, habitación muy bonita y servicio estupendo. Para repetir

Parador ubicado en un acantilado.
Tiene unas vistas de impresión, tanto al amanecer como al anochecer.
El servicio de recepción muy bueno y educado.
Parece que ha sido restaurado. Huele a nuevo.
Habitaciones grandes con buenos baños y las camas muy cómodas.
Aunque es un poco más caro que otros hoteles de la zona, merece la pena alojarse y disfrutar

We have a complicated relationship with Parador hotels. Sometimes love and sometimes not so much. In the Nerja Parador, we had both.
Upon arrival, a great impression as well as from the hotel as from staff at the front desk. When entering our room, we got twin beds. As a loyal Parador member and being on our honeymoon, we expect at least a double bed. So a room move was arranged. Not fully satisfied with the view and location of the room, we had the bedding we wanted finally. The hotel was clearly not booked to capacity, so I still don't understand why they just did not upgrade us. I was willing to pay as well.
Anyway. The location is beautiful, and the gardens and trees are fantastic. The pool looks very nice and clean. Ocean view is simply stunning. Breakfast is typically Parador breakfast with live cooking for your preferred eggs. We were fortunate to enjoy breakfast outside on the terrace in the Andalusian morning sun. Great start of the day. We found the bar staff very kind helpful and service minded. Our room from the beginning had an unpleasant smell that got worse on day 2. Several times, we informed the front desk about this. They told me to have maintenance to check it out, but in the end, they only sprayed the room. So the bad smell from the sewerage was only temporarily covered. Don't lie to your guests. That is simply unfair. It is a disgrace to be treated like that. If you can not solve, be honest, explain what is going on, and the cause is. In the end, the kind gentleman working evening shift on Saturday 10 February explained the cause and moved us to a room without the disgusting smell. Also, he was kind enough to send up a bottle of Cava as an apology. That was highly appreciated. What a drama for no reason it could have been solved hours and hours before. Anyway. The last 2 days of our honeymoon with wind rain sunshine ???? and some bad smelly room. But we will remember the good stuff.
In addition. Public areas are very well maintained and comfortable. Loved the art exhibition. The lift from the Parador down to the beach is very handy.
