Best hotel in Mauritius. Good customer service. The staffs are polite and welcoming. Highly recommend for stay.

Excellent resort and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I would give them an easy 5 stars was it not for the exorbitant drinks prices. Prepare yourself to pay 5 times the normal price for drinks (alcoholic or non alcoholic) no matter what country you come from. The food is excellent, the location is fantastic and so is the atmosphere at the resort, every night. Well worth the holiday if you can just get past those drinks prices.

Would I recommend long beach hotel for a solo black woman traveller, No. long beach is a modern hotel, beautiful ambiance, and the location is spot on. My experience as a single black woman travelling solo was disappointing. I was an all inclusive client. Upon arrival I was just handed the keys to my room, and nothing explained to me. Following day when I went to reception I noticed them and welcoming guests and giving them brochures and explaining to them detailed information about the hotel. I had to dig for that information from the staff myself, and even so, I got a sentence response out of them. They go all the way to make couples and family stay memorable, like put flowers on their tables, those nice beautiful gestures. For myself, a black solo traveller, well…overlooked and unnoticed is an understatement. They have a variety of restaurants and cuisines, chopsticks stood out for me. I booked for a floating breakfast three times in advance, and confirmed and always cancelled by their staff the following day, ultimately I didn’t have it since I was only there for a week. I love Mauritius as a relaxing spot but long beach, not really. The thought that I paid an all inclusive package and was treated like me a charity case really broke my heart. I didn’t get the value of my money. If you a black and travelling solo, do expect a different treatment and service, lower class service. Long beach ruined my first ever solo travel by withholding information from me that could have made my stay even more pleasant and discriminatory service. PS I did address my problems whilst at the hotel and I got “the look” and we will handle it and that’s it. It’s not the level of service I dispute, rather whom you feel is more entitled to it as compared to the other, and as a guest in your hotel, you didn’t feel I be entitled to your best service rather I was made to feel inferior than the other guests.

However we would like to reassure you that we do have any prejudice for black single woman. We are really sorry that you had this perception during your stay. We would have appreciated that you voiced all the problem you were facing to a manager so that we could have handle this matter immediately and have the opportunity to show you that this is not how we treated our guest and clarify all the misunderstood.
We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it is apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of.

Tolles Hotel, leider etwas umständlich in manchen Sachen, ZB klettern, Restaurant buchen,Golfen. Einige Mitarbeiter sind top, andere eher Flop. Insgesamt aber alles ok und ein schönes Hotel
