My wife and I spent 10 nights here for our honeymoon and loved every minute of it! It was our first time to Mauritius and we felt welcomed and at home straight away. The hotel staff looked after us very well and also treated us to a candlelight dinner and couples massage. My wife also celebrated her birthday while we were away and the staff in the restaurant made a point of celebrating this as well. Yuvan and Adesh were our favourite bar staff, very generous measures with the drinks! They also recommended drinks that we hadn't tried before as well.
The hotel offers a boat service twice a day to Île aux Cerfs and I'd highly recommend this! It's key to book asap though as it's very popular. Île aux Cerfs has amazing views and beaches as well as a roped off area that is safe to swim in. There's no risk of sea urchins or anything. The outdoor restaurant that serves Mauritian food is popular as well so definitely worth booking upon arrival.
Although the hotel has no beach there is one a very short walk and it's worth taking the 5 minutes to walk along the coast for the beach!
If you're going off site then definitely use the hotels cab service! We went to nearby Flacq, around 20mins away, to visit the huge market and a cab there and back was 1,000 rupees! (Around £18) The driver even waited 2hrs for us. Very reasonable prices and should be promoted more.

Je vous fais part de mon expérience au spa POZ de l'hôtel, Imla s'est occupée de moi, c'est une personne d'une très grande gentillesse, douce, attentionnée et surtout elle a des doigts de fée !! N'hésitez pas à vous y arrêter et pour une très belle pause dans un superbe cadre.

Arriving at this hotel after 26 hours travelling we were met by the news the room was not ready ok ish. But we also were met by a very rude. Arrogant man who repeatedly told us that check in time Was 1400 hrs !!! His manner in the hospitality industry was to say the least arrogant but if in his pedantic manner if he had taken the trouble to note the time it was now 1420 .
Lotus of people allowed in and speaking with other guests some were allowed from 1000 hrs and many variants to lunch. Perhaps this person was having an off day but he should take into consideration the travel time overnight and getting to the airport with all the challenges he would like to learn from this and be a little less rude to future travellers. Or does he not like his job or the visitors??!!!
Having been here a few days I must however say that the rest of the staff are excellent,friendly and extremely helpful.
This makes our first impression even more difficult to understand.
Now back and have to add - following the above review the manager approached to attempt what I believe was a forced apology but his arrogance continued with not stop repeating of the mentioned arrival booking in time - however the hypocrisy also continued with guests arriving and been given their rooms long before that stated time clearly observed on a regular basis by us and other guests .
The rest of our stay was enjoyable with all the staff helpful charming and welcoming apart from Mr Arrogant who clearly displayed his annoyance staring every time we passed or dined.
My clear suggestion is to change the name from Tropical Attitude to a more obvious “Manager Attitude “
