I had the pleasure of taking three of Jane’s tours during my time in Singapore. I would highly recommend all of the tours for anyone who is hoping to gain greater and deeper insight into the history, culture, architecture and artistry of Singapore. The Classic to Ultra-modern tour, which I took with Bibi, was an ideal introduction to Singapore (do this one first!) with a focus on how Singapore’s confluence of cultures has influenced its architecture and artistry. The Orchard Road Stories and Emerald Hill tour, which I took with Tricia, and the Joo Chiat & The Peranakans tour, which I took with Swee Lin, were both also excellent, with a focus on how areas that were formerly plantations and farms have evolved into some of Singapore’s most sought after areas. These tours also both provided great insight into Peranakan culture, architecture and artistry.

I enjoyed my tour of the Emerald Hill district with Shanti very much.
Shanti explained the origins of the Peranakan and made this history come to life with interesting anecdotes therefore personalising the experience. This is my third tour with Jane’s tours and I am always impressed by the professionalism of the whole process from booking to the guides’ knowledge of their material.

Absolutely incredible experience.

We had the pleasure of touring Singapore and parts of Malaysia with Jane for a few days in November 2023, and it was an extraordinarily unique, 5-star experience.
