GÎTE LA 1ÈRE ETAPE

Première étape pour nous sur la route de Compostelle. Accueil génial, jardin pour prendre le soleil, dîner somptueux avec légumes du jardin et ambiance fabuleuse grâce à Didier et Anne nos hôtes ! Et en plus des conseils sur le camino ou la tenue des sacs ! À ne pas manquer !!

Gite incontournable pour débuter le Chemin. Au delà de créer une bonne ambiance et une excellente cohésion entre pélerins, Anne donne de précieux conseils qui se révèlent utiles tout au long de la marche et Didier parle de la magie du Chemin comme personne. Merci à tous les 2 ✨️

My friend and I arrived there the 3rd of July 2025, and this was our first gîte of the Camino. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Anne and Didier were amazing hosts who welcomed us as if we were friends. They really took the time to show us around the place and made sure we were comfortable. They sat at the table with us during dinner to share conversations and right after the end of the meal, Anne graciously gave us an amazing speech with visual support about what to expect in our next stages of Via Podiensis.

Also, their gîte is exceptionally pretty because of its garden, which is very carefully decorated. Pilgrims have many places to sit around and enjoy nature. We had a blast that evening meetings with fellow pilgrims.

The meals were really good too because they use their garden products to make salads and homemade mermelades that were delicious. The accommodation was good too, the rooms were comfortable and clean.

Even though all the good things I mentioned, for us, the highlight of our stay were our hosts. It's always appreciated to meet people who care so much. They even accepted some last minute guys at 23:00 pm and Didier was kind enough to go and pick them by car in a forrest nearby.
The following morning, before we departed, Anne made sure that our backpacks were well attached to our body and gave us advice about how to carry them.

Arriving in Gîte La 1ère étape was an amazing start for our GR 65 and we really recommend it.

Je remercie Anne et Didier pour leur hospitalité, leur gentillesse et leur aide. Nous avons été merveilleusement bien reçues. Ils sont adorables, toujours prêts pour aider. Le cadre est très beau et nous avons merveilleusement bien mangé . A recommander +++++++++
