This was my second time in Mali with Eke Andre as a guide. We travelled to Kayes,a region full of colonialist remains, and saw the beautiful waterfalls of Gouina, Kela the village of traditional music, the famous Mande mountains but above all visited villages not yet spoiled by tourism. His historical knowledge and his travel experience, humor and care made it into a wonderful trip, a masterpiece in a country where organizing is a major challenge every day again.

Eke Andre is not only the perfect guide in his own country Mali but also in Burkina Faso. We travelled to many special places, saw elephants in Nazinga, the antique Royal Palace in Tiebele, animist villages where his good sense of humour was very much appreciated by the inhabitants, learned about fetishes and death rituals, saw beautiful masks in museums and especially met many local people in their own habitat without having the feeling of being a tourist.
His auberge breathes an atmosphere of care and interest in local art; his garden is a little green paradise in the dustful city of Bamako.
