My husband and I recently enjoyed an idyllic stay in the Chevalier de Saint George suite at Caféière Beauséjour, the highlight of our trip to Guadeloupe. Didier and Etienne have created a peaceful retreat with beautifully appointed rooms set in a lush tropical garden. We loved that the suite offered both indoor & outdoor space, and enjoyed relaxing in our private jacuzzi at sunset. We also appreciated Didier and Etienne’s gracious table d'hôtes---delicious food and drinks, plus interesting conversations with our hosts and fellow guests. The Habitation is up a steep road, which adds a bit of adventure, but the trip is worth it. Our chief regret is that we did not spend more time lounging by the infinity pool, so we’ll just have to return for another visit.

Unser ganzer Aufenthalt war traumhaft! Das gesamte Anwesen mit sehr großem Garten mit verschiedensten sehr schönen Pflanzen ist wunderschön und auch die Wohneinheiten sind sehr geschmackvoll und schön eingerichtet. Didier und Etienne sind wundervolle Gastgeber und gestalten alles sehr liebevoll. Das Frühstück und auch das Abendessen mit Aperitiv sind hervorragend!

Amazing cocoon in the hills behind Pointe Noire. Peaceful guest house with incredible sea view and garden. Etienne and Didier made us feel at home, provided many advice on restaurants, activities etc. I also recommend their « Table d’hôtes » - we had wonderful dinners there with a lot of fun. Last but not least, the house is very well equipped and with great choice of furniture providing a high end touch for a comfortable stay. Make sure you rent a somehow powerful car to climb up there - it is definitely worthy !

My best friends from childhood and I wanted to take a trip of a lifetime to a special spot to celebrate our 50th birthdays. Guadeloupe did not disappoint and Habitation Samana Beausejour was the most magnificent environment to relax, with the most hospitable and gracious hosts. The setting is breathtaking, set high up in the hills with a sweeping view of the ocean below. We watched sailboats pass in the distance while we lounged by the infinity pool.

Within short driving distance you can snorkel with turtles, experience the natural thermal baths which run into the ocean, waterfalls, beautiful beaches, topnotch restaurants, hike in the rainforest.

There was so much to see and do on Guadeloupe, and our hosts, Etienne and Didier, were spot on with offering suggestions, directions, and assisting with making reservations. They are simply the best! Their attention to detail is impeccable and their ecological approach to running their business is admirable and appreciated. They host a most delicious dinner starting with a traditional island rum drink and appetizers followed by chef’s choice meal and dessert. This is offered five nights a week for guests for an additional fee. It will be one of your most treasured dinner party experiences! Do not miss it! Etienne and Didier made a delicious chocolate cake on the night of my friend’s birthday to make it extra special.

Champagne, chocolate and new friends – we are definitely returning to this tranquil spot.
