Excellent local food. Tried the saint marcellin local lyon cheese with a light salad. The poulet with morels. And beef tartare with sourdough. Loved everything. The staff were really helpful with translations. Would surely visit again. I see tourists complain about communication being an issue in France, but i think it’s the opposite. Just try to use a few words in french and the people will love you for it and go out of their way to help you. It’s a fair expectation for visitors, in today’s age of internet and translate apps, to just try to communicate in a foreign tongue.

Could not fault this little restaurant. We came across it by chance on our last day in Lyon and got a table on the small outside terrace with a view of the old town. The inside is atmospheric with some low ceilings on the way to the toilets up a cast iron spiral staircase. Great food, good wine by the glass and welcoming staff. 3 course lunch for 29 Euros (limited choice from the main menu) was great value. Reccomended!

Réservation effectué et refus de me garder la réservation alors que j’avais un retard de moins de 15mn et que j’avais appelé pour prévenir, la personne qui a reçu mon appel était exécrable.
