Dès l’accueil, professionnel et chaleureux, nous avons compris que nous avions fait un très bon choix. La qualité recherchée se retrouve dans tous les détails y compris les plus discrets (les prises électriques à l’ancienne par exemple). Le lieu est unique et nous avons été heureux de trouver un hôtel authentique, loin des chaînes hôtelières « industrielles ». Quant au petit-déjeuner, il nous a donné le sentiment agréable de partager un moment « hors du temps », grâce à des produits faits maison. En résumé, très belle expérience que nous renouvèlerons dès que possible.

Allotjar-se en aquest hotel a Lió ha estat com fer una immersió poètica en el segle XIX. L’habitació, d’una decoració exquisida, ens va fer sentir protagonistes d’un relat de Proust o Zola. El personal de recepció, amabilíssim i atent, ens va fer sentir com a casa des del primer minut i fins i tot ens van gestionar amb eficàcia una reserva en un restaurant veí excel·lent. L’únic punt feble de l’habitació és la banyera: quan et dutxes, l’aigua se surt per tot arreu i inunda part del bany. Una llàstima en una habitació tan cuidada L’esmorzar, complet i refinat, destacava pels pastissos casolans deliciosos i l’amabilitat de la cuinera. La sala d’esmorzars, una autèntica fantasia decorativa, et fa dubtar si vius en la realitat o en un somni. L’única nota curiosa? Un núvol de mosquetes entestat a fer del pa la seva pista d’aterratge. Tot i això, una estada memorable, delicada i profundament recomanable.

If you like a hotel where every detail in the interior design is thought through, high quality materials, authentic and aesthetic solutions, this this it! Someone with taste and interest in historical interiors are behind this gem. Very nice breakfast and friendly staff.

Hotel storico in posizione centralissima senza parcheggio (si parcheggia al parcheggio pubblico a 42€/giorno come scritto sulla piattaforma dove ho prenotato). La reception si trova al primo piano, la nostra camera era al secondo e si trovava in una zona del palazzo senza ascensore (consiglio di verificare se siete nella zona servita o meno quando prenotate). Colazione curata ma il prezzo è sproporzionato per una proposta esclusivamente a buffet senza servizio espresso tranne che per il solo caffè (solo uno). Personale gentile ma poco orientato al dialogo non in francese. Pulizia migliorabile (grandi ragnatele nei corridoi, ma stanza abbastanza pulita).

J'ai découvert avec bonheur l'hôtel Bayard, comme une pépite cachée au cœur de Lyon. Une surprise de calme, de charme et de tranquillité à laquelle on ne s'attend pas place Bellecour. J'ai aimé le décor des gravures anciennes, les tableaux au long des couloirs, l'atmosphère chaleureuse de la salle du buffet abondant des petits déjeuners, que j'ai dégustés avec beaucoup de gourmandise.
Je remercie tout le personnel particulièrement sympathique et attentionné.
J'ai séjourné dans l'une des chambres "Traditionnelles" où j'ai apprécié le souci de proposer dans un décor du 19ème siècle le confort le plus actuel.
J'avais besoin d'un lieu paisible et reposant pour quelques jours : l'hôtel Bayard m'a offert tout ce que je cherchais.

Séjour très agréable, très bon emplacement, chambre spacieuse et calme côté cour.

Quelques remarques toutefois : les tenues quelque peu "négligées" selon moi du personnel de réception... C'est dommage.
La tenue "réglementaire" aurait été un minimum à défaut d'une tenue d'époque pour pousser le soucis du détail jusqu'au bout.

Manquait des chaussons et un porte serviette à côté du lavabo.

Un grand bravo pour le travail de précision sur la décoration et le soucis du détail de ce point de vue dans l'ensemble de l'hôtel ainsi que pour l'originalité du petit déjeuner très bon et copieux. Toutefois, j'aurais apprécié que les jus de fruits soient pressés.

Le personnel a été aux petits soins et très à l'écoute.

Je reviendrai sans aucun doute très bientôt.

Merci beaucoup pour cette très agréable parenthèse.

It was very central and the staff were so pleasant and helpful. |However the hotel and our stay, was not what we expected from the booking.com photos and descriptions. |We paid for a “Prestige King Room” but it was hardly that. Tea/Coffee making facilities were one teapot and two herbal tea bags. They were never replaced during our 4 night stay.|There was no minibar either, just a small fridge with water and no milk. |Our bedroom was a decent size, but dark, and the bathroom was directly off the bedroom, separated by one big step up into it. The hand held shower over the bath meant we had to use it very carefully to avoid water running down the wall and onto the floor.|The breakfasts were not good. Probably the worst we’ve ever experienced in years of travel. The only hot dish was scrambled eggs which were lukewarm every day. There was a small assortment of cold meats but plenty of sweet cakes. My husband wanted tea and was given a teapot of hot water and told to get the tea leaves himself out of a canister. The cappuccino was undrinkable. All in all, pretty poor show!

Quand on va me dire « un petit hôtel trop mignon » je vais penser à celui-ci, un beau mobilier, une belle déco et une belle ambiance feutrée très agréable. Le personnel est au top, de très belles chambres, un beau bâtiment très bien situé, et un vrai buffet de petit déjeuner.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Bayard in Room #4 for 2 nights. The room was very large with two huge windows that opened on to the park across the street. There was a large shower and a lovely clawfoot soaking tub in the bathroom. The design of the room was very chic and very French. The hotel breakfast was the best we had during our 2 week stay in many hotels in France. You could tell is was lovingly prepared. There were so many options and we were offered cappuccino coffees as well. the location of this hotel is perfect. Across the street from the hotel is Bellecour Park where there is an office of Tourism. There is also a metrostop in the park and it is a hub for many different bus lines. There is lots of shopping and restuarant's also well within walking distance. The hotel is almost like a Speakeasy in the sense that there is only a blue door with the name of the hotel on it to greet you on the street. Once you open the door, you'll follow a hallway to another door where you'll ring a bell and will be buzzed in. Please know that there is a stairwell up to the first floor so you will have to carry your bags up one flight. After that there is an elevator. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful. We highly recommend this hotel for a truly French experience in Lyon.

A wonderful boutique hotel right in the heart of beautiful Lyon. Rooms were in a gorgeous French style and the staff were delightful. We felt like we’d stepped back in time. Only a 10 minute walk to the historical part of Lyon. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Wir haben uns in dieses Hotel regelrecht verliebt. Es ist wunderschön und man hat das Gefühl in einer anderen Zeit zu sein. Es ist alles so liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Servicepersonal ist zuckersüß. Sie geben einem von der ersten Minute das Gefühl willkommen zu sein und tun alles um den Aufenthalt so schön wie nur möglich zu gestalten. Wir bedanken uns ganz herzlich für den unvergesslichen Aufenthalt und hoffe auf ein Wiedersehen.

Staying at this special hotel requires one to just let go and allow oneself to escape to a bygone era. A real period gem, this lovely hotel does its utmost to replicate the France of the past. Whilst some might not find the rooms as practical, if you want somewhere to stay that has flair yet is still very comfortable, this is the place.

Special thanks to Stefania and Pierre who both work very hard to make this place a special stay for the guests.

The breakfast room was gorgeous, loads of charm and a nice way to start the day.

Location is perfect - an easy walk to all the main sights in lovely Lyon.

Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We loved this quirky hotel in the centre of Lyon. It's 5 minutes walk to a metro station and 20 minutes walk to the old town. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Our room (no.2) had a high ceiling, antique furniture, an extravagant chandelier, gilt-edged mirrors, a very comfortable bed and a roll-top bath on a platform in the bedroom. The very delicious breakfast was down a long narrow wood-pannelled corridor in a beautiful old room with a stained glass ceiling. We heartily recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

Un écrin au cœur de Lyon. Une merveilleuse découverte. J’ai séjourné une nuit dans une chambre en duplex absolument magnifique. L’expression « luxe, calme et volupté » s’y prête totalement. De la baignoire sur pied, aux éclairages tamisés, aux touches élégantes et raffinées : cet hôtel est un vrai coup de cœur. Mention spéciale pour la salle du petit déjeuner : décoration incroyable. Very nice hotel in the center of Lyon with parking arranged by the hotel not far away at 25 € per night. Entering the building we were a bit septic about our choice, but entering our room we were convinced this is fun, special and charming !||The hotel has a very nice fibe, style retro but with all modern facilities. In every corner there was something to look at and the excellent breakfast served in a nice conservatory is a very nice start of the day.||All high light of the city are nearby as it is located between the Rhone and the Soane.||The staff is very helpfull and committed. You feel welcome.||Recommended !!

A lovingly decorated old hotel on the main square and a cool respite from Lyon summers. Breakfast is outstanding. Close to shopping, maybe a 15m walk to the old town.

Stylisches Hotel, nicht wirklich billig, aber in sehr guter Lage. Unser Zimmer war leider sehr klein, aber irgendwie plus mignon. Das Hotel ist mit viel Liebe für -teils kitschige- Details eingerichtet. Empfehlenswert.

J'aime beaucoup cet hôtel totalement atypique. On s'y sent bien. Les chambres sont confortables et très bien isolées. Je recommande le petit déjeuner, toujours très varié et fait maison.
