This little gem of a hotel is centrally located in a gorgeous part of old Lyon. Each one of the rooms has a different name and a different configuration. We were in La Bouillote on the top (6th) floor - there is a lift to the 5th floor so be aware the if you stay in this room you will have to walk up one level - and it met our needs perfectly. The breakfast room is in the first floor and is a welcoming small room with windows out onto the street. The breakfast is varied and delicious and the boil-your-own eggs are brilliant. The owner, Laurent, and all the staff are helpful, friendly and attentive but never intrusive. We look forward to our next visit.

Lovely little hotel located within walking distance of the metro and Vieux Lyon. The room had effective air conditioning, a hot shower, and a hair dryer. The downsides were only minor - a somewhat cramped room and quite a limited breakfast service. But I would definitely recommend Hotel des Celestins for a short stay in Lyon!

Das Hôtel des Célestins ist ein romantisches kleines Hotel mit einem guten Frühstücksbuffet. Wir hatten die Suite und das Zimmer Toits de Lyon zu dritt gebucht und waren begeistert. So viel Platz und 1,60 m breite Betten. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt, mitten im Zentrum gelegen. Von dort aus haben wir alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreicht. Wir können das Hotel wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Situation exceptionnelle. Accueil excellent. Le charme de l'ancien et tout le confort moderne (climatisation efficace et discrète), on se sent tout de suite comme chez soi. Nous avons pu mettre la voiture dans le parking souterrain très proche où l'après-midi plus la nuitée ont coûté un peu plus de 20€, mais bon, c'est Lyon Centre quand même. Excellent souvenir.

You cannot beat the location. It is a very nice hotel with an excellent and accommodating staff. The rooms are very comfortable with nice bed linens and towels. The breakfast was very good also. On our next trip to Lyon, we will stay there again.

Excellent location, great price! Our stay was great and the rooms were clean, comfortable, had A/C, and were larger than usual by international standards. We were right in the middle of everything and the hotel staff was helpful. Breakfast was fabulous. I highly recommend this hotel!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and found our room wonderfully comfortable despite the heat outside. Floor-to-ceiling blackout curtains helped us sleep well. By day, the hotel staff thoughtfully answered our questions about local sights and transportation, and helped get us hydrated. The hotel is in a great location--very walkable from cafes and shopping on both sides of the river, but in a quieter area than hotels in Vieux Lyon.

Very centrally located but at the time of our visit, there is road construction in the neighborhood that will affect your locating the place on your GPS. Quiet, clean accommodations. Rooms are rather small, but comfortable.

A gracious little hotel in a superb location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A good breakfast, excellent dining suggestions. An old building creates some challenges, but worth the effort!

This is a great small hotel with an excellent staff. Newly redone room with a great bath. Comfortable bed and air conditioning made for a good sleep. It's on a not-too-busy street but in the heart of the Presqu'île so it was easy to get around to the great museums in Lyon and there are some wonderful restaurants close by. The staff was responsive and kind about my French but also spoke excellent English. The breakfast was a buffet with plenty of good local products. This was our second stay at Hôtel des Célestins and we were very pleased with it.

We loved our short stay at Hotel des Celestins. Our room was small but very comfortable, there were helpful shelves around the room for some storage, and the shower was great. The hotel is in a fantastic location, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful, and I was provided with gluten free granola and crackers which was so helpful. Would 100% recommend this hotel!

Position top. Cleaning and breakfast very good. Receptionists very helpful. |In France, double french beds are slightly too small for people used to 1.80m wide beds. Pay attention to what you choose. |Rooms are also a bit too small if you choose something below 15m2.

L'accueil est sympa. Toutefois l'ambiance est "ancienne" et surtout l'aération dans les chambres est très bruyante. Impossible de la modifier.
Je ne comprends pas qu'on puisse mettre 3 étoiles pour cet établissement.

Des chambres modernes et refaites récemment. Emplacement idéal prêt du centre de Lyon. Rues commerçantes, rue avec beaucoup de restaurants. En revanche la réception n'est pas très avenante
