Absolutely charming hotel in the heart of Lyon
I originally booked one night here and ended up staying three — that says it all.
My room was huge, clean, and had a stunning view of the Lyon theater. The hotel is located right in the heart of the city, yet on a peaceful street just steps from the river and the Old Town. Everything is within walking distance, including public transport and the main train station (about 20 minutes on foot).
The atmosphere is cozy and bright. The lobby is lovely and warm, with the option to have breakfast. Though there’s no elevator (important to know for those who need it), I had no issues going up the stairs with my trolley.
The room had a fan and a small cooling unit that worked perfectly — especially good in the warmer months. And for colder days, there’s a small electric fireplace that adds both warmth and ambiance.
But the real highlight: Marcia at the reception. She truly brings light and energy to the place. Friendly, helpful, always smiling, always available for a chat or a laugh — someone please give this woman a raise! She’s a big part of why my stay was so enjoyable.
One small thing — I had mentioned in advance that I was traveling for my birthday, and unlike many places around the world, there was no welcome note or gesture. Not a big deal, but a small touch like that goes a long way when you’re traveling solo. Still, the vibe and hospitality made up for it.
All in all, this hotel offers excellent value, an unbeatable location, a clean and comfortable space, and a welcoming spirit. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in Lyon.

Bon hôtel, l'emplacement est hyper central. Il dispose d'une seule place de parking devant la porte d'entrée et sinon il y a pleins de places autour.
Personnel de l'accueil très gentil ainsi que la femme de ménage qui a changé nos draps tous les jours.
Seul bémol en effet il n'y a pas d'ascenseur et la réception se trouve au 2eme étage
Il n'y a pas de climatisation non plus mais des ventilateurs sont mis a disposition dans la chambre.
La salle de bain est propre

Amazing location and super friendly staff. Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, and there was NO AIR-CONDITIONING. In June-August, temperatures in Lyon can reach 38C (100F), and sleeping during this heat can be impossible. For the price, the room was not good enough. Every tourist cite is walkable from the hotel though, and the area felt safe.

Bon hotel 2 étoiles. En particulier grâce à son emplacement et gentillesse du personnel. Seul ombre au tableau, pas d'ascenseur et au minimum 3 étages à monter. Et l'insonorisation des chambres perfectible.

La localisation est vraiment bien, idéal pour aller à pied explorer la ville. Le personnel est sympa. Par contre il faut monter quatre ou cinq étages à pied (il n'y a pas d'ascenseur), donc attention s'il y a des personnes que ça gène ou beaucoup de bagages. Par ailleurs il n'y a pas de parking (contrairement à ce qui est écrit sur Booking), il n'y a qu'une place gratuite (qui est souvent prise), sinon il faut se garer dans un parking public (qui est tout proche, heureusement).

Excellent séjour sur Lyon,
Hôtel d’hyper centre, nous n’avons pas pris les transports en commun de tout notre séjour, tout se fait à pied,
Chambre spacieuse et propre, avec une vue spectaculaire,
Accueil familial et chaleureux,
Il n’y as pas d’ascenseur mais avec un emplacement et une vue pareille, on oublie vite ce détail,
Je reviendrais les yeux fermés

Il faudrait quand même revoir la literie pour 137 euros, oreillers déplorables, matelas inconfortable.. Et revoir la propreté, traces de m...dans les toilettes à notre arrivée ????????

Hôtel idéalement situé au coeur de Lyon, avec parking public au bas de l'hôtel.|Chambre simple mais confortable.|Accueil très sympathique.|NOTA : Pas d'ascenseur et selon 3 ou 4 étages à monter. Donc si bagages importants ou difficulté physique, hôtel non adapté.|Petit-déjeuner simple mais prix correct .|Un bon plan pour visiter Lyon.

Literie plus que moyenne. Oreillers affreux - pas de couette mais couverture fine (allergiques aux acariens s’abstenir)

Excellent rapport qualité prix .. et un emplacement parfait pour un week-end ||L’hôtel est à côté du théâtre et de nombreuses rues commerçantes ||accueil souriant et à l’écoute ( nous avons pu avoir deux clés de la chambre )|la chambre était très propre , très grande, équipée d’une penderie , d’un petit bureau et d’une salle de bains avec baignoire, sèche cheveux et produits bio |En revanche aucun équipement tel qu’une bouilloire par exemple||Nous n’avions pas pris le petit déjeuner proposé

Su ubicación es increíble!! Personal de recepción muy muy amable. La puerta es de acceso de código de 20h a 23h y tras las 23h ya todo acceso es con código. En el desayuno incluiría algo de fruta pero está genial el pan y el croissant...máquina de cafés y tés...Es muy muy recomendable!

Hôtel très bien situé mais un peu cher pour la qualité des équipements.
Meubles de salle de bains tout vieux et un peu moisis, salle de bain peu pratique, vieux oreillers tout bosselé et couverture pas de prime jeunesse avec des cheveux qui ne sont pas les nôtres… propreté assez aléatoire.
Convient pour un court séjour mais vu la qualité pourrait être moins cher.
Par contre le personnel est charmant et hautement sympathique.

Leider ein gar nicht schönes hotel, die Zimmer sind sehr alt und nicht schön und das Frühstück ist auch nicht gut und von der Auswahl her eher mager. Das Zimmer war ausserdem auch sehr kalt und man kann die Badezimmertür nur mit grosser Mühe schliesse. Komme sicher nie wieder in dieses hotel. Für den Preis bekommt ihr sicher etwas besseres. Nicht zu empfehlen!

Be aware that this hotel hasn’t got a lift ( just like many hotels in Europe that located in heritage building area) so it doesn’t suit people who carry big suitcases. Hotel is located very close to central area.There are so many restaurants and cafes nearby. Very convenient location and easy to walk to the old Lyon town. It was quite noisy on Friday and Saturday night but that is not a problem for me. Staff was lovely and friendly. However, the issue was the facilities in the room. One of the lamp next to bed side is broken and the one light above the ceiling also went off. There is a bathtub but the drain stopper couldn’t stop the water. I think it need to be replaced to a new one. We have informed the receptionist but nothing could have been done during the time our staying which is fine. I wish they were checked and fixed before our arrival. Oh at least they changed a new standing fan for us because it was broken as well. Apart from these issues, we are happy with the room for the money that we paid.

Hôtel super bien placé. En plein centre ville! A 1 min du parking des célestins, 2 min de la rue Mercières, des plus belles boutiques et bars de Lyon. Et face au magnifique théâtre! |Chambres simples mais spacieuses. |Personnel à l’écoute et accueillant

Bon hôtel, pour visiter le centre ville, sinon un hôtel français classique, petite salle de bain et pas de bidet, chambre très normale, assez propre.

Les chambres sont trop petites. Nous avions 2 chambres. Le lavabo ne pouvait pas rentrer dans un, c'était à l'extérieur.
Ils ont donné une serviette pour 2 personnes.
La seule bonne chose est qu'il est dans le centre-ville.

La réservation indique que l'heure de quitter la chambre est 12h00 (Destinia); Je rentre à 11h05 et trouve la porte de la chambre ouverte, avec la valise en vue : IMPARDONNABLE
