Our stay here was excellent on all levels. Stylish rooms with perfect insulation. The staff was very friendly and addressed all our requests at once. Location is also ‘splendid’. Really liked the breakfast as well. We will be back!

As per my daughter: “Now I understand why it’s called the Splendid Hotel. The cleaners even left a small treat after tidying the room, which was a nice touch. The breakfast was genuinely impressive - lots of variety and high quality. Plus, the location couldn’t be better.”

I would recommend this hotel and we hope to return.
Very happy with our family room. Beds/Bedding extremely comfortable. Our daughter got a large sofa bed, also very comfortable. No balcony on the family rooms but we appreciated the large opening windows and enjoyed the view over Old Town roof tops.
Bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and the shower was spacious. The safe was available at no extra cost and filtered water was readily available in reception.
The location is fantastic, especially useful for us as a family going back and forth from the lake after swimming/boating. Also an abundance of restaurants and the Old Town very nearby. 10 minute walk to train/coach station.
The breakfast room was never crowded and the buffet selection was good.
As a bonus the hotel offer the use of a paddleboard which we didnt use, but would hope to if we return.
Staff were polite and helpful.

La chambre était spacieuse, confortable et parfaitement adaptée pour quatre adultes.

L’emplacement de l’hôtel est également un vrai atout, idéalement situé et proche de tout.

Nous reviendrons à Annecy sans hésiter, et c’est avec grand plaisir que nous séjournerons à nouveau dans votre établissement.

Parmi les points négatifs: l’unique ascenseur et qui plus est, très lent; la fontaine d’eau est une catastrophe, l’eau est chaude, ne pétille pas; le ménage de la chambre: notre chambre n’a pas été faite après la 1ere nuit sans prévenir ; déçue de pas voir le lac avec une chambre coté lac; et le mail menaçant d’annulation le jour de notre arrivée alors que le personnel est habitué au problème avec les cartes étrangères.

Emplacement de tout premier ordre et belles prestations pour cet hôtel.
Très bon accueil de la part de tout le personnel que nous avons croisé.
De retour dés que l’occasion se présentera.

We stayed here mid-July. The hotel is a short 10 minute walk from the mainline station and the bus station. This makes it great for us as we like to travel by train and use local transport. The Hotel has a view of the Lake and is very close to the old town. The room was good but a little on the dark side. Bed was fine. It was large, had a separate bathroom/toilet. The room was very clean and well kept. The breakfast was buffet and ok but not as good as other hotels. All the staff from the reception staff to the breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. I would fully recommend this hotel for a holiday in Annecy.

The hotel is in a great location, right next to the lake and a stonethrow away from the old town with bars and restaurants. Staff is very helpful and the breakfast buffet is amazing - great quality and a wide choice including local specialties - we can highly recommend this hotel!

Bel hôtel avec une aménagement intérieur qui vous transporte de suite en vacances et vous coupe du bruit et de la foule présente dans la rue. Les chambres sont calmes, grandes et agréables. Le personnel est discret et compétent. Le petit déjeuner est de bonne qualité avec la mise en avant de produits locaux et la présentation de la gastronomie locale pour tous les gouts, sucrés, salés.

Satisfait pour notre séjour ayant duré le temps d’une nuit.

Small hotel at a central location, good personnel and pleasant airy room. One of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had and I’ve had many.

The hotel is very well located, close to everything. We stayed there for 2 nights, the first night was on the first floor and extremely tiny (I believe it was room 109, I attached a couple of pictures). The next day they moved us up to a better room and a wider one, we were pleased!

We had good check in experience. Very nice staff. Our bed was comfy. We had air conditioning. Nice fluffy towels and good shower. You are within walking distance of the Old Town, Lake Annecy with a nice leafy park.

Quelques retours concernant notre passage dans cet hôtel.
Nous avons bien profité de notre vue rue/burger King mais nous nous attendions à au moins entre apercevoir le magnifique le lac d’Annecy.
L’hôtel ne vaut pas ses 4 étoiles et un effort particulier doit être fait sur le petit déjeuner.
Un point d’attention sur le ménage dans l’établissement.
Et changez les tables dans la salle il n y aucun plaisir à manger avec les genoux qui touche la table.
Point positif la literie.
Bref nous ne reviendrons pas.

We had a great couple of days at the Splendid Hotel, Annecy. We reserved a triple room and were thrilled that the second bed was located in its own room, making our triple effectively a suite. There was plenty of space. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean and appeared to be freshly renovated with lovely furnishings. (Good air conditioning, too.) The bathroom was quite luxurious with a double sink, lots of towels, thick robes, etc. We did not eat at the hotel but enjoyed the Nespresso machine, the cool water machine in the lobby (including free fizzy water for our water bottles), and the evening chocolates. The location is also top notch just across from the beautiful Lake Annecy and just steps from the old town. We were spoiled for restaurant options, all easy to walk to! The free postcards are a nice touch! My only tiny criticism is that I wish that the generous bathroom amenities included hair conditioner, although perhaps this could have been provided if I had asked.

Quite on the higher end of the price scale, but you get a lot in return.
Prime location, friendly and professional front desk who know their trade. Parking is close by and the hotel paid part of the fee, I was worried about parking not being part of the hotel itself, but it worked out great.
Breakfast with lots of options, also local jams, cheeses, honeys,...
Getting room with streetside balcony is worth the extra cost.

Séjour du 12 au 13 juillet 2025, chambre 505.||LES PLUS :||+ Bon accueil, personnel sympathique et souriant.|+ Excellent emplacement à proximité de la vieille ville et du lac.|+ Deux parking publics sécurisés à proximité (Parking Hôtel-de-Ville – attention saturé en été, Parking Bonlieu) avec lesquels l’hôtel dispose d’un accord qui prévoit la prise en charge d’une parte du coût de stationnement (de nuit) – s’adresser à la réception.|+ Chambre bien insonorisée.|+ Système d’air conditionné silencieux et simple d’usage, explications claires.|+ Articles de toilette de marque « The Botanist & The Chemist's » d’excellente qualité.|+ Petit-déjeuner de qualité, offre variée, avec des produits régionaux.|+ Belle salle de petit-déjeuner, avec une décoration soignée.||LES MOINS :||- Notre « chambre supérieure » était étriquée et mal aménagée. Un long corridor prend trop de place et l’espace de vie est très restreint. Le prix de la chambre est bien trop élevé par rapport à sa taille et son aménagement.|- Mobilier fatigué, sa couleur foncée fait apparaitre tous les impacts, ce qui donne une impression de mauvais entretien. Le parquet en stratifié (pastique) a un rendu très peu qualitatif.|- Attention, une chambre vendue « côté lac » ne signifie pas « vue sur le lac ». Depuis le 5e étage ces chambres ont la vue sur les arbres qui bordent la route passant devant l’hôtel et l’on n’aperçoit même pas le lac en été.|- De manière générale, cet hôtel historique aurait mérité une rénovation plus soignée, on sent que cela a été fait à l’économie (lobby et réception minuscule pour un bâtiment de cette taille, couloirs vieillots, chambres fatiguées). Seule la salle de petit-déjeuner est vraiment attractive.|- Reconnaissance ALL Gold faible. Nous avons obtenu certes la chambre un peu avant l’heure officielle de check-in vers 13h45, mais aucun upgrade proposé. Boissons offertes via l’application ALL.|- Pas de bouteilles d’eau en chambre, alors qu’indiqué dans la description.|- Inutile de faire un « Online Check-in » avant votre arrivée, vous devez remplir à la main un formulaire papier lors de votre arrivée, la plupart des informations déjà en possession de l’hôtel pourraient d’ailleurs être pré-remplies par gagner un peu de temps.

Nous avons passé un agréable week-end à Annecy, dans cet hôtel parfaitement situé. Nous avons apprécié l'accueil à notre arrivée, et le style art-déco de l'hôtel.
De plus, l'hôtel bénéficie d'un prix négocié avec le parking de l'Hôtel de Ville, situé tout proche.

La grève des contrôleurs nous a obligés d'écourter notre séjour. Sinon nous aurions davantage apprécié l'emplacement. Idéal pour s'aérer avec des promenades au bords du la le matin ou dans la journée.

L'hotel est magnifique et très bien situé en face du lac. Le personnel est très agréable et aux petits soins.
