LE SAINT GERVAIS HOTEL AND SPA HANDWRITTEN COLLECTION ^{* * * *}

Superbe hôtel au cœur de St Gervais, bien situé avec de belles vues depuis les chambres, il est surtout tenu par un personnel adorable, chaleureux et professionnel ! Un plaisir d’y revenir ☺️

We booked the hotel well in advance, 5 months before our stay.
We were a large group of families with children of various ages (between 4 and 13).

Honestly, we all have various experiences in hotels; this was not our first time going to a ski resort, many of us have been doing this for a long time.
I have never been treated so poorly as I was in this hotel.
It is normal for a group of almost 40 people to make some noise; we are on vacation and relaxed. In any case, the hotel manager, knowing that he had such a large group, could have been more proactive regarding the children. The same manager, at the beginning of a dinner in the hotel (7:00 PM), came to reprimand us because of the noise made by the children (the normal noise of almost 20 kids together).

Here’s, without wanting to be arrogant, a lesson on how you should have addressed your customers:

“Good evening, I am the Hotel Director.
I would like to introduce myself and welcome these families. I'm glad you chose our hotel.
We will do our best to ensure you have a good experience. I understand it is difficult to keep 20 children quiet, but I would ask you to try to minimize the noise.
Thank you very much. I am at your disposal for any matters.”

I want to highlight the reception girls who were friendly and tried to help within their means.

I don't understand how a hotel like this has staff that can only speak French, when a large part of the guests were not French.

The hotel is nice and has potential, but a large part of the staff seems to be in the wrong profession; hospitality is certainly not for them.

Everything was great except kids in the spa area which were very loud and jumping into the swimming pool.

Un superbe séjour dans une très belle chambre avec vue. Un accueil d’exception: l’hôtel propose les forfaits et les réservations du matériel de ski directement à l’accueil. Il est doublé d’un bar et d’un restaurant de grande qualité. L’établissement est accessible très facilement depuis la gare avec le Valléen (télécabine). Merci !
