A modest hotel, worn by the years but full of character, right in the heart of Chamonix. From its rooms, the mountains frame the view, and the Arve murmurs just a few steps away. Leeave aside the expectations of Belagio, there is a certain pleasure in enjoying this gem.

Bit of a miss, the shower hose comes out of the bath tap - snapped in half and sticking between your legs.
Plus the shower sprays all over the wooden window which had become mouldy.
Additionally the bathroom tap handle can’t turn hot to because the mirror is touching it, and wifi has no service.
Nice location and river view.

We stayed here on a family trip to Chamonix and did not have a good experience during our stay. To start and to be transparent to all, there is no nearby parking. The nearest parking lot is an honest 8+ minute walk. This would normally not be an issue if we were able to drop off luggage somewhat close to the hotel. This is not the case as the road in front of the hotel is closed to vehicle access. Had this information been clear on their website or shared in the confirmation BEFORE we arrived, I would not have been as PO'd as I was. Power to anyone who wants to stay here in the winter and tote their luggage a long distance through the snow. ||This was compound by the individual who checked us in. He was NOT friendly, helpful and clearly we were interfering with his book reading. One of the grumpiest individuals I have ever encountered at a hotel. ||We were on the top floor as there was 4 of us and the room was small, but clean. While it was very warm during our stay we had to have the windows open at night to try and cool the room off to be less then 30. The challenge was, the neighbor was smoking and that quickly filled the room. The dilemma...sweat to death or get a head start on acquiring lung cancer. Solution....stay up to midnight, wait for the neighbor to quit smoking, get up at 6 when they start back up and close the window. ||While the room is very tired and could use a good renovation, there were a couple of positives. The morning clerk was MUCH friendlier, pleasant and polite. There were no issues with the plumbing and the room was fairly quiet. The only reasons as to why I am not giving this 1 star.||The best advice to someone I can recommend visiting Chamonix with a vehicle is to to confirm where parking is located and what their smoking policies are like. Needless to say, there is not a chance that I would ever stay here again.

Location is the only good thing. Staff in morning are friendly. Afternoon guy is rude. When we asked which floor the room was, the answer was : what do you think. One of the beds was broken in room 22 and his solution was to fix it with books. My partner didn't sleep well for 2 nights. Bar closes at 11pm but they don't come round to ask you for last order.

My room did not have a bathtub plug so i was not able to take a bath during my stay there. The hotel staff said that they are not able to do anything with this... Also, the skylight was broken and did not close, which made it difficult to sleep due to all the noise coming from the nearby street. Breakfast was very basic. Good location.

Hôtel bien situé, en plein centre, parking à proximité à quelques minutes de marche.|Petit déjeuner classique mais bon rapport qualité prix.|En revanche, extrêmement déçue de la chambre qui est très mal insonorisée et la salle de bain est vraiment vétuste.

Séjour de deux nuits à Chamonix dans le cadre d'un projet de tour du mont blanc à vélo.

A l'annonce de mon programme, le gérant m'a proposé une chambre plus grande pour le même prix afin d'y mettre mon vélo. C'est suffisamment rare pour le souligner !

Sinon, RAS côté chambre, le rapport qualité prix est plutôt bon.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans cet hôtel.
L'éclairage de la chambre ne permettait pas de voir nos habillés dans la valise.
C'était salle (moisissure dans la salle de bain....) mal entretenu (fil de lampe réparé au scotch dans l'espace enfant...)
La VMC très bruyante.
Suite à un problème de douche le réceptionniste était incapable de réparer. J'ai du me débrouiller tt seul. Ce n'était pas parfait mais on a pu se laver.
Le local a ski est situé à l'extérieur. Il est très petit, sans casier et peu sécurisé.
Le seul point positif était le petit déjeuner et l'emplacement.
Je ne recommande pas du tout cet hôtel.
Je ne comprends pas les 3 étoiles.

Ótima localização e atendimento super simpático.
O café da manhã é simples, mas atendeu à necessidade.
É preciso levar em consideração que o prédio do hotel tem +100 anos, dito isso, os banheiros são pequenos mas suficientes. A vista do quarto para o rio foi um ponto bastante positivo.

I stayed here with a group of six in February and found it to be excellent. My room was clean, modern, warm and comfortable, overlooked the neighbouring river.

Alex, the manager was very hospitable, as were other staff we saw. Breakfast was simple but tasty and the breakfast room was fairly quiet each morning, making for a more relaxing start.

The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the town centre, so ideally placed for restaurants and nightlife, while being far enough out to remain fairly quiet.

I'd highly recommend this hotel and look forward to the next time I can get back to Chamonix to stay there.

Stayed several nights at this hotel. Its location is very good. Right on the river in the town center. I would describe the property as "tired" and in need of renovation. Our room was on an upper floor with a river and mountain view which was very nice. However, the room needs attention. There was no handle on the bathroom door. There was no handle on the interior of the shower door, and the bathroom floor tile is cracked. The hair drier runs for about 5 seconds and then shuts off. The safe did not work, and the wardrobe wouldn't close. There's a small TV on the wall which is probably around 10 years old and in need of an upgrade. Also, I couldn't find any English lanugage channels which is surprising given the diverse clientele which visits Chamonix. There was no coffee available in the room. The doors on the linen closet next to the elevator were broken and wide open. The front desk staff was not particularly friendly. Visitors should know that although the hotel is in a very good location, traffic is blocked from entering the town center during the day. If you drive, and depending on the time you arrive, you may not be able to drop off your luggage in front of the hotel. There are parking lots about a 5-7 minute walk away, but during the winter dragging your luggage over icy sidewalks is challenging.

Good location, within walking distance to most anything. Rooms are clean. Adequate for one or two nights stay for TMB.
This review is for staying in August, which is quite hot and hotel has no A/C. This makes you want to leave windows open and then the noise can be a problem, no matter which room you stay. You are either near the street, which will be noisy through out the night due to hotel's central location. Or you're near the river, which is constantly loud. If you're OK with that loud white noise, then this is a perfect place for you.
The internet is basically Nonexistent! When you need to check weather or email, it is so slow and mostly out, that it is useless! Don't expect any wifi if you're staying here. If you're OK with the noise, very limited wifi, but clean bed and good location, this place is for you.

Mauvaise expérience.
Au moment d'arriver le 10 janvier 2025 la chambre était froide(le radiateur,ne marchait pas...,jusqu'à 11 janvier pour le matin).
Toute la chambre très mal entretenue,très sale(toiles d'araignée partout et poussière),,ancien mobilier...
Pour la première nuit on m'a donné à la recepcion trois couvertures et ça y est!!!.
Déceptionné en general...
No lo recomiendo para nada.

Llegamos al hotel el 10 de enero 2025 con mucha ilusión de compartir con nuestros amigos y la sorpresa fue más grande que la la catedral de la Sagrada Familia . La habitación que se había contratado estaba sucia y sin calefacción se estaba más a gusto en la calle que dentro de la habitación .mi amigo fue a reclamar y en recepción le dijeron que nos abrigarnos más nos dieron un par de matas maloliente más tardes vivió a bajar el amigo a la recepción y le dieron un calentador eléctrico que al momento de conectarlo explotó lo cual no sirvió de nada .Al día siguiente bajamos a desayunar y el desayuno era nefasto seguro que si viajas a cualquier sitio del tercer mundo tienes mejores productos para servirte y los salones del desayuno están muy sucio al parecer limpiaron la última vez en 1999

die Liegenschaft ist in die Jahre gekommen, eine gewisse Patina ist an allen Ecken und Enden festzustellen. |Sei es im Bad oder WC .der Papier Rollenhalter hängt dysfunctional an der Wand. Der Duschvorhang zu kurz ist und dadurch das Wasser sich im ganzen Bad Zimmer verteilt. Das Fenster auf die Flussseite Ist ungenügend abgedichtet sei es gegen Kälte oder auch das Rauschen des Flusses. |Der Fernseher funktioniert nur ohne Fernbedienung nachdem es lakonisch geheissen hat an der Rezeption, es seien keine Batterien im Haus.

Hôtel à fuir franchement !! Fenêtres pas isolé du tout , qu on entend le bruit de la rivière derrière , accueil froid du réceptionniste , on entend aussi son voisin ! La chambre peut être sympa niveau décoration , lit confortable quand même , et très bien situé mais ça en reste là , dommage mais on y retournera pas .

Je suis extrêmement déçu de mon séjour dans cet hôtel en raison du comportement inacceptable du réceptionniste. Dès notre arrivée, il s’est montré désagréable, froid et totalement dépourvu de toute amabilité ou sens du service client. Il n’avait aucune des qualités que l’on attend d’un réceptionniste, ni l’accueil, ni la réactivité, ni même un minimum de professionnalisme.

Un incident particulièrement regrettable s’est produit avec les petits-déjeuners. Le réceptionniste nous a facturé à tort deux petits-déjeuners. Lorsqu’on lui a fait remarquer cela, il a refusé de rembourser. Malgré mes demandes répétées, il n’a ni offert de solution ni montré le moindre effort pour résoudre ce problème. Il a d’abord prétendu ne pas avoir d’argent en espèce pour me rembourser, puis a refusé de me rembourser sur ma carte, ce qui m’a laissé le sentiment d’avoir été littéralement volé.

Je souhaite que la direction de l’hôtel soit informée de ce comportement inacceptable. Ce genre d’attitude nuit gravement à l’image de l’établissement.

Hotel vieillot, vétuste. La fenêtre de la chambre qui ne ferme pas (on a l’impression de dormir avec au milieu de la chambre). 2 personnes en charge de l’accueil, l’une très sympa, l’autre beaucoup moins…. Un avantage, très bien situé, entre le centre et le télécabine de l’aiguille du midi.

Hotel très bien placé, propre, chambre agréable, personne à l’accueil très sympathique. La vue laisse à désirer côté montagne suite aux travaux vous vous retrouvez face à une forêt de grues qui vous cache et vous gâche la vue. Petit déjeuner correct, juste un bémol sur les viennoiseries qui sont un peu trop cuites.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Valley Blanche. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the host, Alex, and felt right at home. That was much welcomed after a very LONG day of travel to get here! The location is perfect, being a close walk to both the train and bus stations. My room was right on the river, with beautiful views. The breakfast was superb! Fresh made pastries and breads, along with cheeses and meats, cereals, fruits and a fabulous coffee machine! What is not to like?! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Hotel has a perfect location in the center of Chamonix by the river. However the hotel was in bad shape. The room was in outdated condition and no services on site except a possibility to have a very basic breakfast. The staff was very invisible. The ski room was awful.
