If you’re looking for a place that feels more like a warm hug than a hotel, Les Marronniers in Thueyts is it. Nestled in the Ardèche hills, this charming spot delivered everything I didn’t know I needed: calm nights, good sleep, and a staff that seems to genuinely enjoy having you around (rare, I know).||The rooms are simple but spotless—think “rustic French calm,” not “we forgot the renovation.” We slept like logs under the chestnut trees (yes, actual marronniers), and woke up to birdsong and fresh croissants. I mean, how French can you get without a baguette swordfight?||Bonus: there’s even a pétanque court if you’re into pretending you’re a retired Marseille local.||Would I come back? In a heartbeat. Would I bring friends? Only the good ones.

Lovely stay at Les Marronniers! Cozy, clean, and refreshingly unpretentious—kind of like France itself, if France were a person who just wanted you to relax and enjoy life.

The staff? Friendly and genuine. The room? Quiet and comfy. The atmosphere? Think sleepy village charm with just enough character to feel like a movie set… but with real croissants.

We came for peace, and we found it. Plus, Thueyts is gorgeous—like the Ardèche’s best-kept secret, and this hotel puts you right in the middle of it. Highly recommend if you’re tired of over-touristed spots and want the real deal.

Wouldn’t change a thing (except maybe my departure date—I wanted to stay longer!).

Je tiens à vous remercier chaleureusement pour l’accueil exceptionnel que vous m’avez réservé durant ces cinq semaines passées chez vous.

Votre gentillesse, votre disponibilité et l’ambiance chaleureuse de l’établissement m’ont permis de me sentir comme chez moi avec une salle de sport + sauna .
Un merci tout particulier à Angel et Benjamin, dont la bienveillance, le professionnalisme et le sourire quotidien ont rendu mon séjour encore plus agréable.

Je garderai de très beaux souvenirs de cette période aux Marronniers, et je ne manquerai pas de recommander votre hôtel autour de moi.
