DOMAINE DE BRIANGE ^{* * *}

Mooie ligging, maar voor ons helaas geen fijne ervaring bij Domaine Briange. We verbleven er 1 nacht tijdens onze reis en in de stacaravan zaten zeker 50 muggen, terwijl we de deuren meteen goed dichthielden. Onze kinderen zaten onder de muggenbulten en we hebben geen oog dichtgedaan. Het toilet in de caravan had stro erin – nog nooit gezien – waardoor we uitweken naar het sanitairgebouw, maar dat was ook niet schoon. De stacaravan zelf was vies en de bedden waren niet opgemaakt, terwijl dit wel beloofd was. Uiteindelijk zijn ze wel opgemaakt door iemand van de housekeeping, die we later ook als kok in het campingrestaurant zagen. Daar konden we ’s avonds helaas niet meer terecht om te eten. Jammer, want de camping zelf ligt mooi, maar wij zouden hier niet snel terugkomen. Voor het geld wat we betaald hebben, hadden we wel meer verwacht. In ieder geval minder muggen :)

Heerlijke camping, rustig gelegen met ruime campingplaatsen (er is wel weinig afscheiding dus moest je erg van privacy houden is dit misschien niet ideaal). We verbleven in een lodgetent voor 2 personen, deze das prima in orde. Zwembad is ook zeker een grote meerwaarde, prachtig gelegen met een mooi uitzicht op de camping. Kleine minpuntjes: sanitaire blok was niet zo proper en vaak ook geen toiletpapier aanwezig + sandwiches voor lunch zijn heel erg droog. Deze kwaliteit mag ook iets beter. Maar zeker een aanrader!

Nous avons passé 5 jours dans ce camping, attirés par la promesse de grands emplacements "isolés au cœur de la nature". Hélas, la réalité ne correspondait pas à l’image : les emplacements sont proches les uns des autres, sans aucune séparation ni intimité. On voit et entend tout le monde.

Le domaine est bien situé pour visiter les grottes (Madeleine, Chauvet 2…), mais reste assez loin des coins touristiques comme Vallon Pont d’Arc, surtout à cause des routes très sinueuses.

L’accueil a été inégal : un premier contact glacial et antipathique au restaurant a suffi à nous décourager d’y manger. Heureusement, la personne à l’accueil principal a été aimable.

Côté propreté, c’est un gros bémol : sanitaires très sales, toilettes inutilisables pour nous, douches passables, piscine douteuse. Heureusement, nous étions autonomes (toilettes sèches). Les poubelles débordaient à l’arrivée.

Bref, un camping au calme, mais qui conviendra surtout aux amateurs d’ambiance rustique, sans attente particulière sur l’hygiène ni le confort.

Nice campground located in Ardeche in a village called St Remèze. The scenery is beautiful in nature and during summer the village does not get hot as vallon-pont-darc because it's a bit higher up in the hills. It's also windy which brings a cool air and also surrounded by lavender fields.
However, we had to drive to the vallon-pont-darc area everyday for activities, which might not be ideal.
I'm not sure about all the rooms but the one we had was not well-maintained. Some things like plates, water glass, silverware and bathroom were dirty. Our sink was leaking water on our feets while doing the dishes, the bathroom was also leaking while bathing. We also noticed that the hot water tank was leaking and causing humidity. This led slugs to get in and walk around. One night, I almost walked on a slug while going to the restroom ????.
Now the worst thing was mosquitoes. We felt like we were sleeping in a mosquitoes nest. The first night, we could not sleep at all and almost left. Our 3 kids had mosquitoes bites everywhere on their body. Luckily the owners helped to get some mosquitoes products to fight them. Every night, we would chase mosquitoes before going to bed and kill all of them but when u wake up in the morning, you would still find countless of them.
The stay was definitely overpriced for the confort we had. We paid 150€ a day for what was not the best vacation we had in years.

Le camping est bien situé pour déconnecter, dans une zone boisée loin de l'agitation de la ville.
Une belle faune, parfois surprenante, je pense au magnifique lézard que nous avons pu observer et aux ver-luisants.
Les chambres sont biens, la salle commune spacieuse. Tout est bien équipé et bien agencé.
Le point noir, c'est le patron, qui est inhospistalier, antipathique et associal. Une personnalité à l'opposé de ce qu'on est en droit d'attendre d'un gérant de camping. Dommage..
