As we came across this place, we were expecting a typical French dinner in the square. Since it was pretty busy, we were expecting the service to be a little slower than normal. However, it took a very long time for us to receive the menus which gave us a close decision to just leave, since that’s what the table opposite us chose to do. After a long wait, our menus finally arrived which meant that it would then take a while for the waiter to actually take our orders. Unsurprisingly, this did take a while and by the time we were eating, it had been a couple hours since we arrived at this restaurant. There were a few mistakes the waiters made when serving the dishes; which were pretty good. We ended up sitting at this restaurant for much longer than expected due to the service. Although it was friendly, and it is understandable considering the busy night, however this should be worked on.

Auberge située à proximité de la cité médiévale, dans un cadre agréable.
J'ai apprécié ma salade. La vinaigrette était bien dosée, mon fromage de chèvre était très bon, avec une très bonne texture. Concernant le personnel (excepté le serveur) il est regrettable d'avoir le sentiment de déranger, on hésite même à redemander du pain ou de l'eau. Des clients qui mangent en tête à tête avec leur chien affalé sur la table avec sa gamelle d'eau, ceci est inacceptable.

Très bon rapport qualité prix. Plats typiques très bien préparés et service très agréable ! Aux pieds du château de Montluçon.
