Perched atop an ochre escarpment in the middle of town, this hotel occupies the premier location in Roussillon. The hotel is a tastefully modernised and well run veteran of many campaigns that is probably the best that the town has to offer. ||The good: checkin was efficient and welcoming, our junior suite “Gourdes” was roomy (by French standards), clean, quiet, bright, comfortable and nicely appointed. Everything expected was there and it all worked as expected. The king bed was comfortable, the linens crisp and clean and we were each able to find a favourite pillow. The bathroom is light, modern and well appointed, and the plumbing worked fine. This room looked out across the scarp to Roussillon’s signature rainbow palisade. We were able to secure a spot in one of the limited onsite spaces. We took the (+cost) satisfactory continental breakfast served in the Omma Restaurant which was complimented by the stunning sun-streaked panorama across the Luberon. ||The not so good: hand-held shower/bath with no screen means that you need to shower with considerable care if you don’t want to saturate the bathroom floor. If you miss one of the limited – and compact – onsite carspaces then you’ll be parking on the edge of town a few hundred metres away.

Lovely characterful hotel in Roussillon. The view from our room was amazing, room was spacious and comfortable. Friendly welcoming staff. We had dinner but not breakfast - we wish we had as there isn't much alternative in Roussillon mid morning on a Monday! Hotel has a few free parking places that can be reserved. We would definitely return here.
