Une pepite!!! Un restaurant avec une cuisine raffinée une serveuse au petits soins et le sourire radieux. Des ingrédients de qualité et des prix plus que raisonnables bref quelle jolie découverte!!!

If you feel like being taken for a ride, with poor quality food (some uneatable) and high prices, go to Umami! In addition, your table will be uneven (and not fixed), 2 waitress will come one after the other to ask if you are ready to order (obviously no sections system), you will be not offered a glass of wine with your meal and you will be treated like a number (or a tourist) by angry staff. Absolute rip off at $46 euros per head for lunch. I understand now why the french gastronomy profession is pushing for mandatory diplomas for chefs and waiters. Too much abuse in this profession towards tourists (although i am French). The most disheartening is that i just wanted a decent local restaurant where i could just support some local chef doing something good. This is clearly not that, and the hospitality is missing.

I understand the variety of reviews of Umami. The restaurant is always trying new dishes and not all are successful. That said, the menu is always interesting and when the food is good, it's very very good. Try it, it's worth it!

Updated July 2025 - 6 years on, still the same, good interesting food, one of the best value places in L'Isle Sur La Sorgue
