A typical French routier restaurant where the builders and locals go ( so you know it's gonna be down to earth decent grub)
You get a self service buffet for starter and a choice of two mains with plenty of bread with desert or cheese to follow for around 17 euros????
Don't expect great scenery here as you are next to a dual carriageway but don't let that put you off, also parking is a huge gravel area to accommodate lorrys etc but park to the right of restaurant if you are in a car.
I had a provencal speciality "gardiane" ( camarge bull stew) and chose chips instead of the available rice or veg..the meat was very tender and cooked in a delicious red wine sauce,I also had a "Picon beer" which is a must for me when in France try one you'll love it
The four of us loved the food and the price was very very good and the staff are very friendly.....it helps if you speak French but you will be OK if you don't as you know you will have the self service buffet to start and a choice of two mains which are written on the board as you enter and a choice of three deserts which are not written down on the board
Both times we paid about €85 for all four of us which included a drink each and a pichet (carafe) of wine to share and 4 coffee's
We have been twice now during our two week holiday and the second time we had the chorizo risotto for the main which was very good..we will definitely be going again and recommend le relais du soleil ????
Parking pas très grand je conseille d'y arriver tôt en fin d'après-midi sinon stationnement tout proche de la sortie d'autoroute et vous téléphoner ils viennent vous chercher
Buffet à volonté pour les entrées.
La patronne Chantal est très sympathique .
