The outside, lobby, and stairwell have a lot of charm. I excited to stay here. The room was even fairly spacious.

However, the room was not in good condition. After a night of sleeping in the room, we suffered irritated throats and allergies. There is visible black mold in the grout and ceiling of the bathroom, and the inside of the AC looked filthy.

Perhaps related to its lack of upkeep, the air conditioner was also extremely loud. And not a consistent a loud hum either, but big thumps at irregular intervals. This was also pretty annoying when trying to sleep but we could have lived with it if not for the air problems.

Unfortunately, we booked through a travel portal and prepaid for 3 nights. The hotel would not refund the rest of the stay. But spending another two nights here was not an option for us, so we left.

Edit: I see the hotel below is denying I even stayed there. There is no chance that I have the wrong hotel, and after the time I spent complaining to the manager it is unbelievable that this is an honest mistake on the part of the hotel.

Beware this hotel and beware room 24. Had an absolutely horrific experience with this hotel. How this place has a 4.1 on Google and 4.5 on TripAdvisor is mind blowing - maybe the other rooms were nice, who knows. What we saw was enough to book it to another hotel after one night.

Our room (room 24 - two floors up to the left) actually made us sick - whether it was the filthy air conditioning filter or black mold growing in the shower (both on the tile and wood ceiling - there were flecks of it in the tub), the air circulation and quality in this room made it impossible to breathe and ruined my sinuses. My boyfriend also experienced breathing problems.

To add to this joy of not being able to breathe, the filthy air conditioner made intermittent loud noises constantly throughout the night that made sleep impossible. After shutting it off to try and sleep, there was no air circulation so I turned it back on only to be greeted by a strong mildew smell. At least the air circulated as I was up all night trying to breathe.

We left the next morning despite being booked for another two nights - two nights in that room would have been terrible and potentially dangerous. I have never complained about a hotel or left one before in my life. As other reviews mentioned, the hotel is tired and amenities are sparse (the bed is a rock and the wifi is intermittent) - that I could survive, the terrible air, I could not.

The hotel refused to refund our money, saying no one has ever complained before (I did find one Google review with a similar but shorter description, so that was a lie). I am not sure why there aren’t more, given the mold and dust situation (maybe others didn’t use the air conditioner or only stayed briefly or were not sensitive to mold/dust).

Do not book this hotel. To add insult to injury, management responded to my boyfriend’s review saying no one has ever stayed with his name. A mystery considering he was clearly suffering through the experience with me and booked the room. So, dishonesty on top of a terrible establishment. Do not give them your money.

Reserva por edreams. Se cobraba a través de tarjeta días antes. Resulta que al hacer el check out me dice la señora que yo hice reserva pero no está pagado. Pago y cuando puedo comprobarlo veo que tengo un cargo de edreams y el del hotel. Estafa?

Hotel in stile medievale situato nel centro di Avignone dietro al Palazzo dei Papi (se parcheggiate e lo fate presente durante il check-in riceverete uno sconto sul parcheggio), pulito e semplice, con aria condizionata e frigo inclusi, bagno spazioso, personale che parla anche inglese gentile e disponibile, colazione non inclusa nel prezzo modesta e buona.

È un hotel un pò datato. La reception sempre gentili

Traditionelles Hotel mitten in der Altstadt. Als Ausgangspunkt für die Stadtbesichtigung ideal. Leider sehr, sehr hellhörig. Dafür aber sehr freundliches und bemühtes Personal. Frühstück völlig in Ordnung. Grösstes Manko ist wie hier oft erwähnt die Parkplatzsituation. Nächstliegende Parkmöglichkeit im Parkhaus " Les Halles " , was 250 Meter Fußweg mit Gepäck bedeutet. Da wir eigentlich die Umgebung erkunden wollten, würden wir aus diesem Grund beim nächsten Mal eher ein Hotel in der Peripherie wählen, aber die drei Übernachtungen waren schon in Ordnung , wenngleich mangels Fahrstuhl der Aufenthalt Koffer die Treppe rauftragen bedeutete.

Hôtel très bien situé à 5 minutes à pied du cœur historique, beaucoup d’animations dans les rues le soir et de restaurants. Établissement magnifique, belles pierres effet médiéval respecté à la lettre, juste la chambre qui manque de déco au même thème. Très bon accueil

Hôtel plein de chambre et authentique, accueil parfait, chambre parfaite et très propre.
Petit déjeuner copieux et avec produits frais, je recommande vraiment.
Personnels au top et très a l'écoute
Le petit plus , garer vous au parking Vinci des halles( a 200m a pied) et vous bénéficierez de -20 pourcent sur votre ticket.

Camere piccole ma pulite, ottima prima colazione, ricavato in un palazzo antico del centro é l'ideale per visitare Avignone e vicino al parking du Pape.

Un très bel hôtel ainsi qu’une superbe chambre dans le cœur d’Avignon nous avons séjourné qu’une seule nuit avec mon chéri pour mon anniversaire mais c’était magique

Super bien situé pour le séjour. Gros problème d'accès le we. Le centre ville est entièrement piétonnier. L'amabilité des personnes dans la rue nous a beaucoup aidé pour arriver à l'hôtel.

Hôtel propre et personnel très agréable????

Bon séjour pour un week-end dans cet hôtel. Bien situé dans le centre d'Avignon, on fait tout a pied et à 5min du palais des papes. Chambre petite mais agréable, literie confortable. Petit déjeuner satisfaisant et très bon accueil du réceptionniste. A conseiller.

Very nice hotel, very friendly staff, sadly poorly decorated and the breakfast room lacks all the comfort an old dining room could have had. I've seen more aesthetics in a Frankfurt Ibis airport hotel foodcourt.

piccolo hotel in pieno stile medievale all'interno delle mura in posizione centralissima con tutte le attrazioni vicine ciò permette di visitare facilmente la città a piedi...posteggio pubblico a pagamento nei pressi della struttura
però manca di ascensore

Hotel bien placé
Nous avons pris un bus de gare centrale à l'hotel, ils sont très fréquents et un taxi reservé par l'hotel pour retour à gare tgv (17 euros)
L'hotel est à proximité de restaurants et du palais des papes, de la place de l'horloge, ...
L'acceuil est professionnel.
L'hotel fait classe et a du cachet avec son grand escalier.
La chambre catégorie intermédiaire était correcte, assez grande.
Les points négatifs
La couette était sale, il était trop tard pour que j'aille raller ...
Le petit déjeuner est médiocre et le service au petit déjeuner désagréable
La personne peu souriante ne mettra en viennoiserie que le compte nécessaire, ne comptez donc pas vous goinfrez le matin.
Elle ne vous proposera pas de jus d'orange, il vous faudra déranger les gens installés pour vous servir.
La partie froide salée est peu appétissante et peu garnie.
Bref qualité du petit déjeuner décevante et service pitoyable et sans rapport avec celui à l’accueil de l’hôtel qui lui est simplement parfait.
Dernier point négatif, autant les murs de l’hôtel sont épais autant les cloisons avec vos voisins sont fines.

Je vous recommande cet hotel, vérifiez la couette en arrivant et réclamer au petit dejeuner si vous ne trouvez pas votre bonheur.
Le taxi à 17 euros pour repartir à gare TGV était un bon plan.

Bel hôtel bien situé mais petit-déjeuner inacceptable

Ce petit hôtel de caractère et très bien situé nous reçoit avec beaucoup de chaleur et de professionnalisme. L'escalier monumental fait grande maison. La chambre est agréable mais la salle de bain un peu vieillotte.
