Next door to the Palais des Papes and close to everything else. Great rooms, very clean and super friendly and helpful staff

We had the one room in the hotel that has a large terrace directly overlook the Palais Des Papas. The rooms are standard basic Mercure stuff but the location is unbeatable. Centre of old town Avignon, everything within walking distance. |This hotel is clearly on the coach tour circuit so it is regularly full of groups with lots of baggage. |Staff were very helpful. |The one niggle with our room was that ,very dangerously, if you pull the door to the terrace closed it locks you out of your room. We managed to walk down the emergency stairs and get reception to let us back into the room. |The price was reasonable but I don’t understand why Mercure use such mean thin towels and don’t provide face washers.

Hôtel très bien placé. Attention par contre car il faut vous garer au parking P-1 puis venir à pied en faisant attention à ne pas retourner à l'autre hôtel Mercure qui est à l'entrée du parking en bas. Pour le reste, l'accueil est parfait et l'emplacement idéal. Certaines chambres ont un petit balcon (on l'a eu) et ça c'est le petit plus qui rend la chambre parfaite. On se mettait dessus le matin tôt et le soir. C'était très agréable. La douche est grande. Le personnel est formidable !!

apparently we did not get the room promised. Very small and little room for luggage. We asked for extra pillows and on the 3rd and last night they were removed. Breakfast was perfect.
