Wunderbare und äußerst hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter*innen.
Sehr zentrale Lage direkt am Papst-Palast.
Nur wenige Schritte über den Platz zur Tiefgarage „Palais des Papes
Sehr gutes Frühstück.
Sehr empfehlenswert die Zimmerkategorie "Privileg-Zimmer".
Die kleinen Schönheitsfehler:
- Die Klimaanlage machte manchmal schlapp (schaltete sich einfach aus), wahrscheinlich auf Grund der extremen Hitze (>40 °C). Nach Restart wieder OK.
Wurde angesprochen, aber nur ein Zimmerwechsel angeboten (in kleinere Kategorie).
In den frühen Morgenstunden Fenster geöffnet, dann alles OK!
- Wasser im Waschbecken lief nur extrem langsam ab (mehrere Minuten).
Wurde angesprochen und Abhilfe versprochen, die aber nicht erfolgte.

Aber alles keine Gründe, dort NICHT zu übernachten!

I was there April 21st, 2023 and the front desk service by Antoine was stellar! I could tell he worked long days seeing him in the lobby morning, afternoon, and evening. Yet he always had a smile on his face and cheer to spread daily. Great guy and what I think of when I look at Hotel Mercures. I used the safe and on that particular day, it wouldn't open. Anthony (Antoine) came to my room to tech and contacted support. I was out on an excursion and stressed that my passport, euros, and dollars were in the safe. A co-worker from the luxury sister location came over and got the safe open while I way away. Anthony texted the good news as I was set to head to Paris the next day.
Antoine - vous etes mon super-hero! Alors et maintenant :)
If you can get a room with a balcony view, that's the way to experience the town of Avignon.

Pas à la hauteur d'un 4 étoiles.
Chambres passables, faisant plus penser à un Ibis 3 étoiles.
De même que le petit déjeuner qui fut très décevant (à titre informatif, le petit dej Ibis est encore une fois équivalent, voir légèrement supérieur). 4 étoiles ne proposant ni saumon ni choix réellement intéressant.

Le personnel est inégal. Un homme dans la quarantaine devant être le manager agréable et serviable. Tandis que deux jeunes un garçon et une fille peu professionnels, faisant même des erreurs dans le check in.

La localisation est bonne au moins. Avec la vue sur le palais c'est splendide.
