If I could give a 10 for the service that still would not be enough as Olivier and Laurence were such wonderful hosts. They helped us with orientation on our arrival and provided a great list of recommendations when we booked our stay to help with planning our short stay in Avignon.

The location was central to everything but on a quiet street to get away from the crowds. The building and rooms were a great mix of old and new with art adorning the walls. The garden and pool are a great spot to relax

We would love to stay with them again if we return to Avignon.

This place is a gem in Avignon. The owners were very responsive and friendly before and during our stay. They provided us with along list of curated restaurant recommendations so we could look at them before we left home and helped with reservations for our choices. They also provided a great briefing on our arrival. ||The accomodations were a great mix of old and modern and very clean. The garden and pool area was so relaxing. The location was very central but off the main street so was quiet to escape the bustle of the city. ||We would love to stay here again if we are back in Avignon.

The loveliest guest house we've ever stayed in! I was blown away by the beauty and hospitality during our stay in Avignon. Of the the hotels we stayed in during our trip to France, Les Jardines de Barcane, was our favorite place to rest after a long day of traveling. The breakfast set up was so thoughtful and the gardens absolutely dreamy. Do no hesitate to book a stay with Olivier!

The difference between a good bed and breakfast and an excellent one is decided by the hosts. And the reason Les Jardins bloom brightly is due to Olivier and Laurence. They are the perfect hosts, both amiable and knowledgeable. Put them anywhere and they will make the place better.

My daughter and I just visited this magnificent bed and breakfast a week ago, April 2025. The hosts greeted us with tremendous warmth and were sure to provide us with wonderful tips on what to see in the area. Olivier even set up a tour for us which was delightful. We stayed in the suite which was very large and well appointed. The gardens are so well loved and provided a needed respit after a long day of sight seeing. I highly recommend and hope to return.

In some 50 years of travelling, I can truthfully say that Les Jardins de Baracane is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. The bed and breakfast lies just inside the city walls in a quiet street within easy reach of the historical centre.||The 17th century building exudes charm and the five rooms are generously spread over three floors. We stayed on the top floor in the Jardins de Babylone suite which had every comfort without losing its historical charm.||There are beautiful gardens and a swimming pool which, despite it being the end of the season, owner Olivier reopened for my wife. Olivier and Laurence are the perfect hosts. Olivier will carry your bags up the ancient staircase. Breakfast can be a simple coffee and croissant or more varied on request.||We found Les Jardins entirely peaceful and relaxing. We slept well. Olivier is a mine of information. We stayed three nights - not enough, and we look forward to returning.

We spent a wonderful five nights in Avignon at Les Jardins de Baracane. All communications were extremely helpful and prompt, and their advice during our stay was top-notch. We are both in our early 70s but managed the stairs up to the top (4th) floor - just made us feel better about eating all the wonderful food. Olivier's restaurant recommendations were excellent -- be sure to get a reservation at Fou de Fata!! Thank you Olivier & Laurence - our stay in Avignon was the best part of our month-long European vacation.

Wir haben im September drei wunderbare Nächte in diesem gemütlichen B&B mitten in der Altstadt von Avignon verbracht. Nur 10 Gehminuten von der Gare centrale, 3 Gehminuten von einem belebten Platz mit vielen Restaurants und trotzdem sehr ruhig gelegen. Idyllischer Garten mit Swimming-Pool, wie eine Oase in der Altstadt. Die beiden Gastgeber nehmen sich Zeit für Auskünfte und Tips aller Art. Fünf wunderschöne und individuell eingerichtete Zimmer. Auf Wunsch Frühstück im Garten. Vielen Dank an Olivier und Laurence für diesen schönen Aufenthalt bei euch. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Me and my partner had an excellent stay at Les Jardins de Baracane. Olivier is a great host and made us feel very welcome. The garden is lovely and the cat is adorable, watch out for the mosquitoes though!

We just returned from a several day wonderful stay at Les Jardins de Baracane. We felt that we were staying at the home of a long time friend, who was devoted to maximizing our enjoyment -- and then did that with a special touch. If you want to have a wonderful time in Provence (in a city that is perfectly situated for doing just that), this is your place!

This was not just a great stay, this was one of the best stays we've ever had.|From the time we made the booking the hosts communicated well sharing information about the property itself and about Avignon. They offered assistance with parking, navigating the streets, and any other thing you can think of to help prepare us for our visit. So it was not surprising when we arrived and found our hosts to be friendly, knowledgable, and welcoming.|This guest house has been well maintained and every space, from the common areas to our room, was clean and comfortable. The room we stayed in was spacious and offered all the modern amenities you could want. |The location, inside the walls of the old city, is very convenient making it easy to walk to anywhere with Avignon.|The guest house itself is lovely and will make for a wonderful stay, but the generosity and helpfulness of the hosts is what made our time here truly memorable.|I would recommend Les Jardins de Baracane to anyone looking to stay in Avignon.

My wife and I stayed for five nights and we had a brilliant time. We were very well looked after by Olivier, Laurence and Minette. We enjoyed breakfasts in the garden and afternoons by the pool. It was a great base to explore Nimes, Arles and of course Avignon. Our highlight was a beautiful cycle to Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Our hosts could not have been more helpful with arranging tours and suggesting restaurants. The room was large and had everything we needed (and more) to comfortably stay for the 5 nights we were there. Our only disappointment was having to leave. Best wishes, Stephen and Amy.

I highly recommend staying here if you find yourself planning a trip to Avignon. Oliver gave us a very warm welcome, provided refreshments as he sat with us to give information about Avignon and a tour of the grounds & our room. This was the perfect place to end our trip to France. There is a book of information for dinning, tours, etc.. anything you need to plan a perfect trip in this beautiful city. You can see the love and care that the owners have put into the gardens and house, and they are very happy to share it with guests. Both were very attentive and it never felt like a bother to ask them for anything, very warm and inviting hosts. The garden is beautiful, which provides a nice escape from the city, and the pool is very refreshing for the summer heat. The room had everything that is needed; there are refreshments free of charge in the fridge and a wonderful French breakfast in the morning. Great location close to the Gare d’Avignon Centre as well as the city center & Palais de Papes. They truly allow you to feel at home here. I would definitely stay here again without a doubt!

We stayed in the top floor suite of this B and B in the old town of Avignon. It is very central and has a peaceful garden to relax in after a busy day. Olivier and Laurence were excellent hosts and provided us with lots of recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit even before we arrived. Olivier is happy to help with bookings. Although there is a pool it was too cold and windy during our stay for us to venture in. There is no lift but Olivier helped us with our luggage on arrival and departure. Our suite was very comfortable and the windows were fitted with anti mosquito grills. Lots of restaurants within easy walking distance. a light breakfast is included - coffee or tea and a croissant. Tea and coffee available in the kitchen all day as you wish. Handy for when you return from a day trip. Filtered water also always available. Highly recommend

We stayed 6 days at this lovely B&B, ran by the most gracious hosts, Olivier and Laurence. We were made to feel welcome and at home the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. So many thoughtful touches such as croissants in the morning, a nice cold beer to welcome you after a day of touring, and restaurant reservations made on our behalf to some of the nicest family run places close to the B&B. ||For us, the best part of travelling is meeting special people. We are so fortunate to have met Olivier and Laurence. A special mention goes to adorable Minette, who charmed us from the word go.

Olivier was a fantastic host and made us feel right at home. My wife and I are retirees and had a wonderful time at this very warm and serene bed and breakfast just a short walk to the center of town. As soon as you walk in you felt the comfort and beauty of their back yard garden area where we sat and enjoyed nature. There is also a very nice pool adjacent to the gardens to cool off after a day of touring. Oliver and Laurence were great hosts; helping us in every way possible with choice of restaurants, and how to get around Avignon and surrounding areas by using trains and buses, and even helped us with our luggage. We were in their Babylone Suite which is on the top floor, it was a spacious room including the bathroom. The stairwell was narrow but we had no problems walking the steps.
If you like B&Bs or want a change from a hotel, this is a great place to stay and the hosts just adds to a wonderful experience.

This place is like a peace of heaven within Avignon. Such a lovely backyard, beautiful rooms. Highly recommended if you want a place to stay far away of anonymous chain hotels. Very private and personal welcome as well as service. And not to forget the hidden star guest Minette. Highly recommended and we always would return without any hesitation. I also recommend to take the breakfast. Lovely setting and high quality, local products (best honey ever tried).
To have a decent sized pool after a day of exploring the city is an additional advantage.
