Tout commence dans la douceur : le service est attentionné, discret, et la vue sur la piscine turquoise et la Méditerranée vous rappelle que le temps peut ralentir.
Le buffet est à la hauteur du lieu : viennoiseries croustillantes, pains variés, fruits frais découpés, yaourts, fromages, céréales, jus du jour, boissons chaudes servies à table, plats chauds préparés minute
Mention spéciale pour les produits d’une grande fraîcheur et la possibilité de déguster son petit-déjeuner sur l’une des terrasses baignées de lumière.
Un moment suspendu, élégant et délicieux, parfait pour bien commencer la journée à Saint-Tropez. Je recommande sans hésiter
We arrived after 4pm only to wait over 30 minutes to check in, as the receptionist was occupied on a call and no other staff stepped in to assist. The concierge was dismissive and patronising, offering empty reassurances without taking any initiative. This kind of indifference would be surprising at a 3-star hotel, let alone one charging over €1,100 per night.
The room was understandably dated in design, but what is not acceptable is finding dirty towels. When I raised it to the reception, there wasn’t even an apology, just a small acknowledgment that they can replace them. The pool area was similarly neglected; the water appeared cloudy and unclean, making it unappealing and frankly unhygienic to swim in.
By the next morning, we couldn’t wait to leave. We had to retrieve our own car and carry our luggage ourselves. And as a final touch, we were offered just one bottle of water for the road despite being two guests. It was all very rude and the staff seemed like they were there to do a summer job rather than trained staff in a 5* hotel.
The service and attention to detail at Villa Marie are, at best, equivalent to a 3* property. The hotel urgently needs to train its staff, improve its service culture, and raise its cleanliness standards. Until then, it remains a missed opportunity in an otherwise stunning location.
