Останавливался в этом отеле в прошлом году в феврале и настолько он мне понравился, что я решил приехать снова летом. Всё также, как и год назад, очень неплохо, включая ресторан при отеле. Плюс, был открыт бассейн, в котором приятно было расслабиться в июльскую жару.

The Abbey is beautyful, full of history and very interesting |The rooms however and the hotel structure is very dated and in desperate need of a refurbishment. We were accommodated in the Saint Michelle room in the main building above the restaurant and it was very hot. Once we arrived the receptionist switched on a unit that was meant to be an AC but was in fact a fan totally useless in the heat of mid July. |When we pointed that out, a young receptionist was very kind and showed us other two room available in the main building but all had the same ventilation unit so no AC. The rooms in the outbuildings were not avalilable so they might be more functional but we didn’t have a chance to see them. |The manager came to the room when I complained and he guaranteed me that the AC was working till the day before. He seemed a bit lost when looking for a thermostat in the room ( there was none) and an AC outlet outside the window (none again). He justified himself saying he had just started to work there. |Luckily the receptionist lent us a fan but unfortunately it was still too hot and the sleeping was miserable. |So until the refurbishment takes place I would recommend to skip the Abbaye especially in the summer months.

Great views and amazing staff. It was a little difficult to get to but otherwise everything was good.
