This unusual small guesthouse is located within short walking distance of both, tramways and metro. You can reach the main railway station within 10 minutes by metro or the old port by tram within 15 minutes. There is no reception (access by codes and small vaults for the room keys) and no breakfast is on offer. Not a disadvantage for us - and there are coffee makers in the room's kitchenettes. A huge plus: excellent mattress and pillows - a rarity in hotels! The proprietor/manager is very friendly and helpful. The rates are absolutely reasonable. The only gentle criticism: it was scorching hot during our stay and I would have welcomed a more robust air conditioner. But that does not change my 5/5! I would stay there again.

My husband and I stayed a wonderful few days at Maison Dormoy. Our host Isabelle was warm and welcoming and kindly accommodated a special request for early breakfast one day. And breakfast was delicious ! Our room was comfortable and quiet and had a lovely terrace. Location is ideal and the surrounding neighborhood has cool restaurants and bars and a wonderful park. Highly recommend!!
