Les commentaires sur l’histoire et la géographie de Marseille pendant la traversée pour le château d’If sont très intéressants et raconté avec drôlerie par le capitaine et tous les membres d’équipage sont très sympa en plus de la balade en bateau qui permet d’admirer Marseille depuis la mer. Je recommande !

As others have stated no where was it listed the tour would only be in French, not just that but there was commentary for almost the entire three hour journey not just a few things when we got on and off so this might really influence your decision to take this journey, I don’t expect everything to be in English but there was quite a bit of talking on this particular cruise. I will say their instructions for arriving early, where to go, etc were very clear and do arrive early as seats are first come first serve for inside/outside/tables etc. The waters are a bit rough which I was used to but feels worth mentioning for folks who might get seasick.

Now for the real reason I left feeling a bit odd from this is my husband went down to get us coffee, he came up to get €10 from me and left €2 for one cup of coffee at the bar. When he returned with the coffee he said they would not give him change. The two men working looked at each other and said he didn’t give them the €10 sort of corroborating they would keep the change. I went down and made a bit of a fuss, they said oh we have cameras etc. I left it and went back up and eventually they brought us our change and sorted it said there was some sort of mix up but it felt like they were trying to take his money and if I hadn’t said anything they would’ve kept it. Just felt a bit weird.

Overall if you’re looking for the most affordable option to see the sights this is it! I’m glad we had nice weather as the boats are mostly open. I wish we had paid a bit more for a more private tour on the smaller boats.
