LES GRANDES TABLES DE LA CRIÉE

Dîner du 27 août. Une très bonne expérience. Les sardines et l'agneau étaient délicieux, avec des saveurs authentiques. Personnel professionnel et gentil, excellent rapport qualité-prix et ambiance très agréable sur le Vieux-Port. Une cuisine sincère qui me donne envie de revenir lors de mon prochain voyage à Marseille :)

Here comes the long review:

Let’s start by the chef: He is such a passionate and kind person. While we were eating he came and checked on us asking us if we liked the food. When we finished eating our food he came and started talking to us about the story behind the food, the flavors and the process of it all coming together. The chef is truly passionate and proud about his restaurant truly an amazing, interesting person. You can also watch him prepare your plate through a window which great. He also gave us a little physics lesson with one of his drinks again just one of the most amazing, interesting, delicious restaurants I’ve ever been to.

Now the service: I saw some reviews that said the service was slow and I think they’ve truly changed for the better. Service was very fast and they were very attentive to us. They made small talk with us and would answer any questions we had. They always made sure we didn’t have any empty plates left bothering us in the table and would come ask us if we needed anything quite often. Most of the reviews are a bit old so maybe it used to be a long time ago or maybe today they where very attentive I’m not sure but anyways It truly felt like I was a queen jajaja.

The food: We basically ordered everything in the menu and my dad couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the food was. I’m vegetarian so only had 2 plates but they were amazing the way the mix the flavors and textures, I have no words it’s just perfect. There’s no other place I’ve ever been where they’ve managed to do something like this so perfectly. They had a hummus that was sour and salty and crunchy thanks to some onions pieces on top it also had some tomato and peppers it all mixed so well. The eggplant entree was the best dish in my opinion. I really like eggplant and the way he prepared it made it even better.

Overall: One of the best places I’ve ever been to, I’ve never seen such attentive people and such an amazing passionate chef. 10/10
