Do not book this tour as it is not a tour. It is just a ride without any dialogue about the area, the sights or anything. The tour guides spoke in French to each other but never gave us any information or spoke to us only to ask a couple questions (where are you from, etc) throughout the whole tour. Our tour started at 3pm for which we arrived at but were told we were late even though we were never told to arrive early. It was an incredibly windy day to which I asked if this was normal and was told no. The tour should have been canceled if that windy. The wind was so strong and uncomfortably to ride in. We had to hold onto our helmets and were be pelleted in the face with things from the road. The tour also ran 20 minutes late which made us late to our next tour and we almost missed it. The guides have been texting me, what’s app and hounding me since I posted this review. Be ware of doing any sort of business with them as they are extremely unprofessional. We have done side car tours in Rome and Paris and LOVED them. This experience is nothing like that. Do not waste your time or money. You would be better off and safer driving Cezzane road by yourself.

Any incredible way to see the sights around Aix-en-Provence. We surprised our son with this unique adventure for his 10th birthday and we all had the best time!

One of the best excursions off our Viking cruise. The riders were extremely friendly and helpful and their local knowledge was brilliant. Scenery was superb, wine delicious and their local knowledge guys weren’t afraid to have a bit of fun. Haven’t laughed so much in a long time.

For my fellow tourists, let me tell you this was an excellent and unique way to explore the lush greenery just outside of Aix-en-Provence in the expert and knowledgeable care of a local. He spoke English but was also very accommodating and patient with my French. Overall, I LOVED IT. 10/10. I highly recommend this experience for anyone who wants to step out of the city and appreciate the natural beauty of Provence. It's especially excellent for those like me who enjoy feeling the wind whipping in their face (they follow the speed limit, so don't worry, it's not actually that fast). The bike was super cool but also comfy; there's a thick cover to block the wind if needed. If you're still on the fence, think of it this way: You're already all the way out here in Aix. Make the most of it.
Que tu sois un touriste ou un local, pour moi, cette balade dans la magnifique campagne provençal est tout simplement incontournable. Un peu d'histoire de la région et de Cézanne et beaucoup de paysage formidable avec une petite dose d'adrenaline, c'était un de mes moments tops de mon voyage partout en France. C'est vraiment une façon très unique de visiter Aix et ses environs : l'équipe était super sympa et la moto et le sidecar étaient hyper stylés. N'hésite pas !! La Belle Echappée porte bien son nom.

One of the best experiences in Provence!
If you’re visiting and want to explore the countryside in a unique, memorable way, this sidecar tour is a must. We did the half-day tour and absolutely loved every moment — from riding through the scenic backroads of Provence to stopping at a beautiful winery and visiting an organic lavender field. The landscapes were stunning, and the pace was relaxed yet adventurous.
The guides were amazing — warm, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely safe the entire time. Riding in the sidecar added such a fun and nostalgic charm to the experience. It was the perfect way to soak in the beauty of the region and learn a bit along the way.

J'ai récemment eu l'opportunité de vivre une expérience incroyable avec La Belle Échappée Sidecar, et je ne peux que recommander cette aventure à tous les amateurs de sensations fortes et de paysages à couper le souffle !
Dès le départ, l'accueil était chaleureux et professionnel. Les pilotes sont non seulement très compétents, mais aussi passionnés par ce qu'ils font, ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus enrichissante. Ils prennent le temps de vous expliquer le fonctionnement du sidecar et de vous mettre à l'aise avant de partir.
Le trajet en lui-même était tout simplement magique. la sensation de liberté que procure le sidecar est inoubliable.
En résumé, La Belle Échappée Sidecar offre une expérience unique qui combine aventure, découverte et plaisir. Que vous soyez un habitué des deux-roues ou un novice en quête de nouvelles sensations, cette activité est faite pour vous. Je reviendrai sans hésiter et je recommande vivement à tous mes proches !

Super expérience, le plaisir est partagé avec des professionnels au top, on l’a fait à 3 couples, tout est adapté même le chargement du pinard sur les Side-cars !

Had the most amazing experience on the ride today with the sidecar. Eric made us feel right at home and Kevin too! We took a tour of Marseille that we will never forget. We’ve been on a luxury Viking ocean cruise for nearly two weeks and so far each day has been better than the previous day. We had no idea what we were planning until the last minute when we booked the sidecar motorbike tour the night before. What a spectacular way to experience Marseille from a doorstep pick up at our ship in port to the drive through the city streets, historic sites along the way which we had a chance to stop at. Even a church where we were able to view the city high atop the mountain and say a prayer inside. We also drove alongside the ocean and stopped for a swim at the beach with locals and experienced a good taste of French cuisine and a little shopping at the local markets near the beach. A drive through the national park up the mountain with stops along the way to view the city and enjoy a glass of Rosé made it even more memorable. We highly recommend Eric and the Vintage Sidecar Tour from La Belle Échappée. We will be back to take another tour next time we visit Marseille!

The side car trip was SO much fun - when can we ever get the opportunity to experience that! On top of that - in the Provence countryside with wine tasting at a Vineyard!

Kevin was our wonderful tour guide for the afternoon! It was definitely a fun thing to do whilst staying in aix en Provence and the vineyards that we visited were beautiful and had some great rose wines of course. The girls conducting the wine tasting were very professional and knowledgeable and we were really interested to learn all about the vineyards. Kevin also took us to some beautiful lavender fields which had a shop where you could buy any lavender products. We were given lavender ice cream and lavender water! The scenery in the mountains was really beautiful. I would really recommend this tour with Kevin or his business partner who we also got to meet and he was equally lovely.

My husband and I booked a tour with Eric. He was very knowledgeable and took us to the most amazing winery and sites. He was able to take us all around Marseille and into Cassis where we had a wonderful lunch and wine. Having the side by side was so much fun and felt very safe. We highly recommended booking!

A wonderful 'escape' on a beautiful vintage Ural motorcycle & sidecar. Eric was lovely, and shared lots of information about the region. The motorcycle trip was the highlight of my Aix-en-Provence holiday, which says a lot as every day was amazing. La belle échappée indeed! ????☀️????
