The setting is gorgeous and the food was good. The service at the restaurant was horrible. First we showed up having had a reservation and the waitress told us it wasn’t possible and to go away. Then we asked to speak to someone as we had a confirmed reservation and they just shrugged and sat us down. Three times they tried to deliver the same dish we hadn’t ordered after we repeatedly told them it wasn’t ours - in fact we had just sat down and hadn’t even received a drink yet. They forgot to bring our desserts - it took 30 min after the final course and 3x asking before they finally arrived.

I had a pleasant dinner experience at La Table du Pigonnet after receiving a gift voucher from my employer and decided to wait for a special occasion to use it. The place is certainly wonderful, a luxurious experience of having dinner in a beautiful garden with lovely live music ambiance. But I still left rather disappointed as my voucher was for dinner for two in the amount of 150€, drinks not included. But I was told by our waitress that we could only choose from the set menu when we really fancied dishes from à la carte. I would have thought that it really doesn't matter how we use the gift voucher as long as we are happy to pay the extra. Also, service, although very friendly, was slow and we had to ask for our desserts (we waited at least half an hour). They promptly arrived after that. All in all, lovely dinner, but I wouldn't give anyone a gift certificate for it.

Excellent déjeuner à La Table du Pigonnet. Service attentionné, équipe à l’écoute, et cuisine raffinée avec de belles suggestions. Le cadre est élégant, calme, avec une terrasse agréable entourée de verdure. Une adresse à retenir à Aix.

Malgré tout, l’expérience culinaire reste excellente, même si les prix sont un peu élevés par rapport à la quantité. Un petit ajustement sur la transparence et l’égalité de traitement rendrait cette adresse vraiment parfaite !!
