Nous avons mangé au restaurant, il était une fois, restaurant bistronomique à Aix-en-Provence très bon, le personnel est vraiment chaleureux et au soin avec ses clients, nous sommes venues de Rognac et nous y retournerons.

Cibo buonissimo. Ogni portata è eseguita magistralmente con ingredienti di qualità. Il personale ha saputo guidarci nella scelta delle portate e sono stati molto disponibili e simpatici. Avevo specificato nella prenotazione il desiderio di avere un bel tavolo per una cena d'anniversario e all'arrivo del dolce ci hanno fatto trovare una candelina accesa senza che glielo avessi chiesto. È stato un gesto molto carino e apprezzato. L'unica pecca è un locale poco caratteristico: ambiente moderno ma un pò anonimo, come molti di questi tempi. Prezzi alti ma sono stato contento di spenderli. Per un'occasione speciale è perfetto e ci tornerei volentieri. Bravi!

Nous avons déjeuné au restaurant Il était une fois à deux adultes et une enfant, et tout était absolument parfait.

L’accueil a été chaleureux et la petite Alice, a été traitée avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Le service était attentionné, souriant et efficace.

Les plats étaient délicieux, joliment présentés et préparés avec soin. Une très belle adresse à Aix-en-Provence, que je recommande vivement pour un moment convivial et de qualité, que ce soit entre amis ou en famille.

Un grand merci à toute l’équipe !

2/06/25 : 2eme passage dans ce restaurant, toujours parfait. Plats excellent, goûteux , plein de saveurs. Vin conseillé tres bon. Service soigné et très agreable. Un excellent rapport qualité prix. Nous reviendrons l'année prochaine.

Très belle expérience culinaire. Le menu dégustation le 6 temps permet de découvrir les principaux plats. Le goût les saveurs et les quantités sont au rendez-vous. Excellent et agréable service. Je recommande vivement.

We had a memorable dinner at Il Était Une Fois, where every detail felt thoughtfully orchestrated - from the ambiance to the plating. The evening began with lavender gin and tonics, delicately fragrant and just the right amount of floral. A small pastry with olive tapenade served as the amuse-bouche - simple and savory, a perfect nod to the region.

We shared the asparagus velouté to start, which was light yet velvety, fresh and spring-like in flavor. For mains, I chose the fish - cooked to perfection with a balance that felt effortless. Nigel’s lamb was hearty and deeply satisfying, evoking the richness of a stew simmered all day. Tasting both together was a revelation.

Dessert was a Mille-feuille, impossibly crisp and creamy. We paired the meal with a lovely Burgundy rosé that held its own across courses.

The only misstep was ours… We poured the wine ourselves early on, unintentionally signaling the waiter to step back from service. He obliged, perhaps a touch too much. We hope to redeem ourselves on our return visit this weekend with a friend.

The ambiance was exactly what we hoped for: cozy, quiet, and intimate. A perfect evening, and a new favorite in Aix!

Super amazing little hidden gem on the backstreet… food is amazing, presentation on point and the service is really good. Would highly recommend a visit, but probably a réservation is recommended in advance!

Un accueil vraiment au top. Une équipe qui connait ses produits. Une ambiance feutrée où on n'est pas les uns sur les autres. Et la cuisine..... Originale, fine et goûteuse. L'agneau est étonnant et la tarte au citron est a tomber. Bravo!!! Nous reviendrons. Je cherchais une adresse sur Aix je l'ai trouvé. Merci!

Restaurant avec une très jolie décoration, la serveuse très serviable et souriante ! Pour le repas, le rapport qualité-prix est moyen, l’entrée n’a pas été a la hauteur de nos attentes. Dommage !
