Le restaurant La Mère Germaine, cité sur le Guide Michelin, propose du poisson frais, des fruits de mer et une bouillabaisse préparée chaque jour. Sur sa terrasse vue mer, installez-vous pour un déjeuner ou un dîner en regardant danser les barques de pêcheurs, à quelques encablures des yachts les plus prestigieux. On y vient aussi bien par mer que par voie terrestre. L’été, la rade de Villefranche est constellée de navires de plaisance battant tous les pavillons et l’on débarque directement devant ce restaurant français dans la joie et la perspective d’un bon repas.

We were looking forward to trying this place but the food wasn’t as expected.
It was extremely pricey and it wasn’t worth it I.e. fish soup 38€? I think that’s exaggerated.
I opted for the thyme sea bass but nothing unique about it. I didn’t taste the thyme neither it was served with it. It didn’t look like the photo published for it. It comes with no vegetables, you get to order the veggies for extra cost!
My husband got the risotto and one of the shrimps was rotten. I mentioned it to the manager to avoid the same experience to happen for other customers but he was kind and replaced it even though it wasn’t the aim of our point!
