Looks like a tourist trap.

Living in Vence and dining out 3 times per week, we know every restaurant intown inside out. Everytime we went to this well located place (only 5-6 times) we have been surprised by the low quality / price ratio (especially for the mussels which are very small).

Last night the director really crushed it: table was 30m late // very rude explanations like “it is the fault of others” // drinks came at 22:00, food at 22:30 // never apologized for anything.

I never write reviews but sometimes you have to do it.

Favor the Pigeonnier (excellent food & service) or the Michel Ange (jewel of Vence) if you want to spend a wonderful evening.

I visited Vence with my 2 children on last Friday for a open air concert at the square of the town. We went there around 10pm and search for a restaurant next to the square. Then we went to this restaurant with a recommendation of a local person. It was crowded and we were told to come 30 min later by the lady who is working at the restaurant. We came back after 30 min and they showed us a table for me and my 2 children 11 and 8 years old. The lady came to take the our order and I asked a wine for myself and a pizza for my children and soft drink for them. After that this lady spoke in French very rudely and said us that we waited 30 min just for 1 pizza?? As my children speaks French, they translated me what she said. And then I decided to leave this restaurant immediately because of this very rude behavior of this lady. Other guys who are working there were very gentle. But this lady is damaging the reputation of this place. First time I faced this kind of a behavior in France. I am sure the food is very delicious there but I didn't have chance to taste it. But Vence and all the people are very nice. I stayed there 1 week and I had very relaxing moments there.

Cadre très sympa
Bien bonne cuisine, simple bémol sur le pain maison de mon hamburger qui était froid mais le tout très bon.
Les tarifs sont trop élevés comme partout maintenant.
Service efficace, une bonne adresse merci.

Restaurant trouvé un peu au hasard des ruelles car peu de restaurants ouverts à cette époque mais très belle adresse, nous y sommes même retournés le lendemain! Du choix pour petits et grands, la viande excellente, des assiettes copieuses en restant variées et recherchées. Si l’occasion se présente, nous y retournerons volontiers.

Sehr nettes Restaurant mitten in der Altstadt des wunderschönen Vence. Sehr freundliches Service, reichliche Auswahl, gute Qualität. Preise voll in Ordnung, der Café Gourmand ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Très beau restaurant placé devant la fontaine donc cadre très agréable. Service également sympathique et compétent. Assiette de risotto aux gambas, sauce chorizo Très bien présentée, fine et vraiment délicieuse. Je recommande +++

Really good food. Both the foie gras and The mussels were excellent. The mussels mariners were better than the provenance. Dessert was okay.

Nous avons déjeuné à 4 le 12 septembre 2024. L'accueil était très agréable, le repas aussi. Les moules étaient cuites à la perfection. Les personnes qui nous accompagnaient résident à Vence et ne manqueront pas de retourner dans ce restau.

Deux étoiles pour le personnel pour la nourriture 0 pizzas super cramées !!! Le burger le pain non doré
En fait on paye la terrasse et la zone piétonne la vue sur la fontaine

Une pépite !!
Déjeuner ce midi en couple.
De l'accueil en passant par les plats tout était nickel
Aile de raie avec ses légumes au top tout comme l assiette desaint Marcellin tres généreux.
On reviendra c est sûr.
