A cozy, gastronomic delight, nestled in the corner of old nice. I’ve been there multiple times, and have yet to be disappointed.

On popular nights, lines can get long( clearly it’s a local and a tourist favorite), so book ahead of time. The atmosphere is lively but also affords intimacy. The decor is both eclectic (check out all the frogs hidden throughout!) and understated, with simple, elegant tablecloths and classic rustic chairs acting as the backdrop to your dining experience.

There’s an active, tight-knit team working hard to please their customers not only with their signature dishes but with a welcoming and a professional attitude.

Then you have a chef(s) that consistently perform their best. Frogs, snails and the octopus appetizers are a must, followed by the main dish of your choice — all are carefully curated and perfectly complemented. The result is a menu that’s a clearly a representation of the person who made it: an enormous foodie who wanted to celebrate classic French dishes, and adhere to the strongest traditional standards for making them.

Come for the food, stay for the ambiance and return again and again for the experience!

The restaurant itself is placed in one of the alleys but when we were there it was a bit stinky, the alleyway. Food was good, we ordered the daily special & frog legs. Since it’s my first time eating frog legs I can’t really tell but it was pretty tasty. The daily special, pork was dry and felt overcooked but all in all pretty good portion for the price

While the food was great, the service we received left much to be desired. We had a reservation but the restaurant was full on arrival. This wasn’t an issue to us, but still we noticed our waiter was very indifferent and unapologetic about making us wait. When it came time to order, there was slight confusion about how many glasses of each drink we wanted, which was cleared up, but not without the waiter making a very unnecessary and snobby remark about how it was our fault as the customers for providing ineffective communication. The espresso martini I ordered was the most tasteless and watered down drink I’ve ever tasted. Upon mentioning it, the waiter simply stated that it’s my problem that I don’t like it and that it’s a simple drink so he has nothing to say. I tried to be tolerant of the waiter’s attitude and snobbiness but by the end of the evening I had grown very tired of it, and overall it had a significant negative effect on the mood of the night. Other staff seemed very friendly so he was likely the only one so unfit for his role.

Посетили этот ресторан прочитав положительные отзывы и очень пожалели об этом. Официанты неприветливые, салат из помидор с буратой принесли отвратительный . Просто нарезан помидор низкого качества и сверху положили три маленьких кусочка бураты . Улитки тоже не понравились , ни качество ни соус . Не советую этот ресторан если не хотите испортить себе настроение на весь день от недовольных лиц официантов.

The food was amazing, the frog legs and escargot’s were really good, and the duck amazing. Best crème brûlée in Nice.
The staff was very helpful, prices a bit expensive, but overall worth the money! I recomand if u want to try French food.

Great place in the center of Old Town Nice! The frog legs are not to be missed and the John Dory was exquisite. Service was amazing and they made you feel right at home. Laurent the owner is so kind and welcoming as well. Must go if you are in the South of France.

Nous avons passé un excellent moment. Nos plats étaient copieux et savoureux. J'ai trouvé le vin rouge un peu chaud et le serveur n'a pas hésité à le rafraîchir à ma demande. Service très sympathique. Un bon resto à recommander.

I had dinner here last night with my mom and absolutely loved it! The frog legs and snails were incredibly delicious, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The restaurant has a warm, family-run feel, and the waiter was fantastic – friendly, helpful, and really added to the experience.

It was very busy, so the service was a bit slow at times, but you can tell the staff are doing their best and working hard. Definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic French food and a welcoming atmosphere!

Very good food and nice staff, but if you eat inside at certain tables, the air conditioning blows directly in your face — it’s quite strong and a bit uncomfortable.

We tried some French specialties like snails, onion soup, foie gras pâté... the lamb in a pot in sauce was also very tasty. My recommendation is tap water, not bottled because it is quite expensive. The atmosphere is very nice, the staff is friendly and helpful.

The food was very nice, but only one person is working on the floor & he's very busy so he can't really spend time with you if you need to ask some questions. Also, you don't feel welcomed. The 'interior design' is so oldschool and I saw a bit of dust on the plastic flowers.

The food was mediocre at best. The restaurant was only half full, yet we waited over an hour for our main course. When the steak finally arrived, it was completely overcooked. Absolutely unbelievable.

On the rainiest day Nice has seen in a century, we ventured into Le Frog. Not the first time but the first time in a while. It’s tucked away near the theatre. Cosy inside. We kicked off with champagne, fois gras (home made) and onion soup (served with cheese smothered croutons). On the money. Steak frites (filet cooked a point with herb butter) and a prawn linguine nailed it. Mousse au chocolate finished the dance. It wasn’t cheap but it was a great Sunday lunch out of the rain. Recommended.

Nous y sommes allés à 3. Nous avons passé un super dîner les serveurs étaient super sympas et de bons conseils. Le repas était vraiment bon, nous n'étions pas déçus ; certes c'est un peu plus cher que d'autres restaurants mais ça vaut le coup !
