A nice family runs this takeaway operation. Grocery, staples of the typical diet of Aleppo with Armenian flair, and a couple of dishes that taste more like home cooking than restaurants in the best possible way.
Falafel, sambusek with cheese, sambusek with chard, fried cauliflower were excellent and world class. The stuffed grape leaves could have used more cooking but the flavors were spot on. The meat pies or lahm b ajeen were excellent flavor and heated nicely but perhaps the texture of the bread could have used more time in the oven.
Groceries were very good quality and of wide variety. We loved the nougat and had them for dessert. We definitely will be back and can’t recommend this place enough. If nothing else we were greeted with warmth, care, and attention of people who clearly put love in what they do and it shows through every aspect of what they do. Too bad they don’t have a dine in area, because they’d probably have plenty more of our business. Please try it!
