When the staff have a second service reservation however, they will rush and hurry you.

We were kindly given bread, but no oil & balsamic and no butter.
Cutlery was taken for the starters to prepare for the main, told new knives were coming, but no.
The butter for the bread arrived fifteen minutes later, with no cutlery to butter the bread. (Back of a spoon was improvised)

This is understandable, but when asked for a dessert to go.
To be told it's not possible and then to be told that yes service is included, but that you need to pay a tip on top of the already included service.

It makes you wonder if it's worth being pushed around.

So, the food was great and the service was irritating with simple things missed.

C’est un restaurant l’epitome de tous que c’est le meilleur de la cuisine française. le meilleur filet du boeuf au sauce poivre vert - difficile à trouver mieux en France.
Voilà le nec plus ultra.

Moment de partage extraordinaire, les mets sont toujours parfait et le patron très sympathique. Sa change de Marc qui était très lunatique !!!

And whatever you do, don’t leave without trying the tarte tatin! It’s golden, caramelized, and just the right balance of sweet and buttery—a true taste of indulgence.

La Cave isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. A place where time slows down, where conversations flow as easily as the wine, and where you leave feeling just a little happier than when you arrived. Coming back after all these years felt like reuniting with an old friend, and I already know it won’t be my last visit.
