Our stay here was absolutely phenomenal! The property is beautiful and very calming. You can go on nice walks in the morning after breakfast. Their morning breakfast was one of the best we’ve had at a Bed & Breakfast - a very nice spread with good options. We stayed there for a few night attending a wedding party and it was so convenient and nice to be able to closely walk back to our room afterwards.
The pool room is beautiful. Perfect for events - it’s a huge open area where we all ate dinner at. When there aren’t events, guests are free to use the pool which is great.
The rooms were lovely. Nice, big, and very clean. Location is perfect, you’re a 10 minute drive from town. The hosts are very kind — showing us a tour when we arrived and checking in. This place had everything we needed and we will definitely come back to stay next time we’re in town.

Recently, we stayed at Château de Charmeil for one night but wish we had had the opportunity to stay longer. The château is beautifully situated on the outskirts of Vichy, offering a peaceful and picturesque setting that feels both timeless and welcoming.
The owner was exceptionally kind and hospitable. He and his wife took over the property a few years ago and are in the process of restoring it with great care and attention to detail – the results so far are stunning.
We’re already looking forward to returning in the future to see how the renovation progresses. Highly recommended.

I recently attended my sister’s wedding, and one of the events was held at Château de Charmeil. It was absolutely amazing! The grounds are stunning and full of character, with a peaceful atmosphere that made the whole experience feel magical. Everything was beautifully set up, and the staff was warm, attentive, and professional. I’ll always remember how beautiful and welcoming it all felt.

Nous avons organisé un événement professionnel au Château de Charmeil, et ce fut une expérience exceptionnelle du début à la fin.
Le propriétaire a été présent, réactif et extrêmement accompagnant tout au long de l’organisation et de la soirée – un vrai partenaire de confiance.
La salle est magnifique, parfaitement adaptée pour accueillir un événement chaleureux et élégant.
Mention spéciale pour l’apéritif : une planche apéritive d’une qualité rare, généreuse et raffinée, comme on en voit peu !
Le repas au brasero était tout simplement délicieux, avec Saint-Jacques, canard, poulet, petits légumes, et pour finir, des desserts gourmands qui ont régalé tout le monde.
Nous avons été reçus avec beaucoup de soin et de gentillesse, dans un cadre superbe.
Je ne peux que recommander ce lieu pour vos événements.
Mon seul regret ? Ne pas avoir pensé à prendre mon maillot de bain pour profiter pleinement de cette soirée inoubliable !

I attended a pre-wedding event at this GORGEOUS location earlier this month. The grounds were beautiful and the venue itself is breathtaking. The event was in the pool house which was spacious and the perfect size for the gathering. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for a pretty location to have any elegant event!

Visited this gorgeous chateau and it was beautiful! The pool room area is where my sister’s themed party was hosted and we had stunning views to admire as we all had a great time. The building was clean and spacious and the owners were so attentive and caring, overall I would love to come back again.

As an American visiting Europe for the first time, Chateau de Charmeil was our first stop and it made a stunning first impression. I didn’t know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the chateau. The grounds were immaculate and beyond charming. In the years to come, we’ll reflect on this trip and speak fondly of our time at Chateau de Charmeil. The beauty alone makes it worth a stay; the history, charm, and staff are wonderful bonuses.

Nous avons eu l’occasion de nous rendre dans ce magnifique château en très porche proximité de Vichy la reine des villes d’eaux .
Ce site est absolument magnifique , un cadre idyllique, très calme, un grand parc , bref l’endroit parfait pour se ressourcer et se reposer .
Le nouveau couple de repreneur fait un excellent travail. Bravo à eux .

I normally don’t write reviews, but I had to share my recent experience at this hidden gem! I spent two nights here with my parents and it wasn’t long enough. The grounds are breathtaking. We loved taking a stroll around the property and taking in the beautifully maintained landscape. The pool is covered and warm in a spacious indoor area with a foosball table and plenty of seating space. The owners were gracious enough to keep the pool open for us after pool hours since we arrived late our first evening.
We ended up dining at the chateau last minute and were pleasantly surprised at the quality AND quantity of our meal. The three of us shared the foie gras platter and the charcuterie board and we could barely finish it all! The local cheeses and charcuterie were delicious and the presentation was lovely as well.
Breakfast included fresh viennoiseries , two types of juices, cereal, fruit and yogurt. Not to mention various cheeses and ham. I’m so glad we found this place and we are already talking about coming back here with the rest of our family!

Our hosts were incredibly welcoming, and breakfast- fresh pastries brought in by the top rated local baker and fruit was delightful. A perfect stay for our family’s celebration that made our trip to Vichy truly SPECIAL! Merci Beaucoup!

We had the greatest stay ever at Chateau de Charmeil. What a wonderful experience! From the time we entered, the gate of a beautiful trees-lined entrance opened up to a magnificent palais ! The chateau has a grand foyer with chandeliers, tasteful decor, and spacious and modern bathroom amenities. Plenty of parking spaces are available for free, also has EV chargers on site. The location is perfect, just a few minutes away from Vichy. Jennifer and Charles, the owners, were the best hosts, kind, and welcoming! Their kids are adorable, and even Molly the dog is super cute ! Overall, I highly recommend Chateau de Charmeil for your next visit to Vichy!

This magnificent château boasts a long, grand drive entrance that leads to the beautiful Palais. Common areas has tasteful decor and spacious rooms! We absolutely loved the huge gardens and warm welcome of the host!! Also the family has adorable children and Molly (dog)

Nous avons passé un très bon moment au château de Charmeil le temps d'une soirée. Ce lieu est magnifique, le cadre est soigné. Les nouveaux propriétaires sont adorables ; Jennifer un rayon de soleil ! N'hésitez pas un instant à vous y arrêter !

Magnifique château rénové avec beaucoup de goût juste à côté de Vichy. Endroit parfait pour venir passer quelques jours pour se détendre et se ressourcer. Les propriétaires sont plus qu’adorables et au petit soin avec leurs hôtes. À faire et refaire sans hésitation !

Spent a lovely week here to watch the Under 18s rugby festival.
Amazing suite with a fabulous breakfast.
The hosts were great and very accommodating (even giving us a lift into town which was much appreciated)
Perfect location for people who enjoy cycling.

Ein wunderschönes Schloss in schöner Lage, umgeben von einem kleinen Park. Die Zimmer sind hervorragend, es gibt einen großen Poolbereich (der sogar beheizt wird), das Essen ist lecker, alles ist sehr sauber und die Einrichtung ist im Stil des Schlosses gestaltet. Es fehlt einem an nichts, die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und heißen einen herzlich willkommen - es war ein toller Aufenthalt, ich empfehle es auf jeden Fall weiter!

Jennifer, hôte des lieux, a fait de notre séjour un moment parfait grâce à son accueil, sa gentillesse et sa générosité. Nous avons hâte de retourner au Château avec nos enfants cette fois-ci ! Merci beaucoup pour ce joli moment.
