Starting off with a walk around the outside with views of the towers, the curtain wall and ditch.
This is followed by access into the castle which includes some nice rooms.
There are descriptions of the different areas in French and English.
The staff are lovely too.
We went midweek at the end of June and it was really quiet, the castle is north of Niort and quite isolated so maybe worth a trip if passing as there is not much else in the area.

Le chateau est très agréable.
Accueil fait par une tres agréable jeune fille a la Pentecôte.
Tout d abord on fait le tour de l édifice puis on y pénètre pour découvrir quelques pièces et son intérieur.
La légende veut que la fée Mélusine y ait séjourné avec son époux le seigneur du lieu .
La visite est agréable et on peut en découvrir l histoire soit en vidéo soit par la lecture d une fiche remise à l entrée.
Idéal pour passer un bon moment avec les enfants !
Des animations variées sont prévues.
Parking facile et gratuit à proximité.
Dommage, fermé le mardi!
Nous avons fait un terra aventura autour du chateau du coup
