Nous y avons passé une nuit, et c'est bien suffisant... A l'arrivée une barrière dont il faut connaitre le code pour rentrer, jusque là c'est normal, ce qui l'est moins, c'est la difficulté pour trouver la réception ! Elle se trouve à l'opposé de la barrière d'entrée, et quand enfin vous la trouvez, il vous faut bien comprendre que c'est la réception.......une porte avec une moustiquaire totalement délabrées....l'accueil est quelque peu folklorique.
si vous choisissez ce camping pour la piscine, veillez à arriver avant 18h !!!
Par ailleurs, le camping est tenus par des anglais, pas de souci;;; sauf que tous les panneaux d'information sont en anglais, et aucun n'est traduit en Français. DOMMAGE.
Les sanitaires sont vétustes et peu entretenus.
En résumé où sont les trois étoiles, nous déconseillons fortement.

Beautiful country setting, lovely campervan and motorhome parking . The pool wasn't in service on the 1st June 25, but the setting of the pool area is very attractive. The site has great potential,it needs tidying to finish it's presentation with a bit of finesse .Sort the entrance/exit barrier so that it opens itself when departing, clearly define pitches.

We have used this campsite for over 8 years. On the first occasion we were arriving late in the evening in early January, and Stuart was extremely accommodating and helpful. I'm disabled and found the winter facilities by the pool excellent and easy to use. Since then we have used the camping ground with both our motorhome and with our caravan. Last year we rented a mobile home directly from Sara and Stuart. We didn't see Stuart as all the family work extremely long hours, but Sara as always was really friendly and helpful and so was their delightful polite son. Lovely calm environment with the additional bonus of the pool and restaurant. Chef with all the facilities you need with in walking distance. There's a vary caring veterinary surgery, right on the doorstep for those travelling with pet's, so can't fault the location. Fantastic value for money and amazing that they stay open all year. Just booked a longer stay for 2005 and counting down the days. Would recommend this campsite to anyone.

Lovely small site located on the outskirts of the village. Well maintained good toilet and shower restaurant on site with a lovely pool both not open on our visit. Great location for a few days Owners owned site for 20 years. |Great pick!|Lovely walk to the village although not a lot open this time of the year

Très bon emplacement, camping très agréable et le personnel est très agréable aussi. La cuisine est par ailleurs aussi bonne, je recommande.

Thankyou to Sara for welcoming us to her camping she was so pleasant and helpful. What a lovely campsite too to visit. Its well kept in winter months it must be spectacular in the summer. Didn't get chance to eat in the restaurant because we only stayed 1 night. We would love to come back. We would definitely recommend.

Good campsite, loads of shade, nice customer service. I liked the takeaways and the proximity to the river, as well as the green space. The pool is great, a little dirty with the large amount of people. Otherwise, all clean, great space for the kids, a good balance of tent, campervan and mobile homes. Highly recommend it

Really fabulous for a stop over. Clean, tidy, people friendly. Unfortunately we didn't know the restaurant was closed. Would go back to try it! Really enjoyed our night. Showers, toilets etc all spotless. Pool great in 38 degrees. Lovely sound of the river at night too.

We used this site as a stop off to travel south through France. As it was low season there was little choice of campsites that were open. Unfortunately, there had been a lot of rain and the site was pretty waterlogged. We were lucky to get one of three hardstandings. Electricity was next to the pitch, a short walk to the water tap. The site was pretty basic with an old ‘sanitaire’ which was closed for winter and repairs. We were able to use the heated shower in the disabled toilet by the swimming pool. The shower had a short timer and there was nowhere to hang anything. There was no washing up facility so we did this in the caravan. Reception was a very small set up in the house and looked very unofficial. The pool was closed as it was very early season. There is a restaurant attached to the campsite but this was closed during our stay.|We won’t return to this site. It is more suited to motor homes or larger units with full facilities on board during low season.

Sunday lunch here was great, just like it had been made especially for us. Followed by the best treacle pudding and custard I've ever had.

We stayed here for 1 night on 30th December 2023 (corrected from early January 2024) on our drive down to Spain.
The site was clean and well maintained and the owner was friendly, but it was very disappointing that the electricity supply to 3 caravans/motorhomes tripped out in the early evening and the owner was unavailable (the trip switch was inaccessible to us). As a result - we were left using our on-board power despite paying for a pitch with electricity included. The neighbour on the adjacent pitch explained that this wasn’t an isolated incident.
Additionally, WiFi was charged at €4 per day per device, and the shower push button had to be held in permanently to obtain a consistent water supply (ineffective timer device fitted).
Overall - I won’t be returning to this campsite as I feel it was expensive for the services received and not value for money.

Restaurant was lovely, we ate there lots and took part in the quiz night... Good fun!

Als de eigenaar niet te vinden is vraag dan of andere kampeerders de slagboom open doen. Je kan gewoon ergens, verhard of op het gras, de eigenaar, Engels man, komt vanzelf naar je toe. Fijn restaurantje erbij, gerund door de eigenaren, uitgebreide kaart, en verse producten. Zwembad en ligbedjes. Op 700 meter van het leuke dorp Chef-Boutonne, met diverse restaurantjes en bakkertjes. Toiletgebouw is verouderd maar wel schoon en warm water. Je mag ook gebruik maken van de luxe douche en toilet bij het zwembad.

Le sanitaire handicapé est très propre cependant mériterait une meilleure organisation :manque une patère pour accrocher les habits, la minuterie de distribution d'eau doit être mieux réglée trop courte pour se laver, sol très glissant, sinon adresse à retenir le terrain de camping est bien entretenu et calme,.

Camping très agréable, les emplacements étaient très biens ( bien plats, herbeux et ombragés ), la piscine est à bonne température, idéale pour se raffraichir avec une zone profonde. L' accueil est très chaleureux avec notamment un verre d'eau fraiche servit à notre arrivée en vélo. Le restaurant est très joli avec un coté rustique ainsi qu'une terrasse sur la piscine. Je recommande si vous cherchez du calme et du repos.

Prima camping hier twee dagen gestaan en super onvangen. Dorpje dichtbij op loop afstand. Zeer vriendelijke zeer goed Engels sprekende eigenaar.
Komt waarschijnlijk dat deze ook uit Engeland de oorsprong heeft.

Superleuke camping met rustige en schaduwrijke plaatsen. Gerund door een engels gezin en erg gezellig. Bonus: zwembad!

No recommendation from me. Very poor customer service. Restaurant none existent, bar tender no clue. Cocktails a joke. Very loud cliquey friends on an evening with no consideration for other guests. Shower block needs updating. ETC. Update your website to let the guests know times etc. CHIPS is not what we call a meal !!!. Very poor. Your family was all that mattered. Fact. The truth sometimes hurts. Remember you told us ' I've been cooking chips '. I rest my case.
