LE DOMAINE DU MEUNIER

We love the Domaine du Meunier. It is a holiday place for everyone. Hosts Ariane and Coen are hospitable and friendly while providing top level professional service. The hotel is a historic C19 building on the quayside of the lovely fishing village of Mortagne sur Gironde. It is furnished with a quirky mix of antiques preserving a lovely period ethos, but the beds and ensuite bathrooms are modern and comfortable. Breakfasts are wonderful and include fresh baked cakes and pastries. We have stayed at the hotel many times over the years. Most recently Ariane and Coen helped us organise a big family get together with friends and relations from all over the world , aged 18 months to 84, joining us for a weekend at the hotel. Everything was perfect thanks to the professional advice and help and warm hospitality of Ariane and Coen and their staff. Everyone enjoyed the comfort of the hotel, country walks to the sea, pin ball games in Salle Parias and the pleasures of browsing the antique market nearby. This is a hotel for everyone, in an unspoiled corner of France. If you pick the right time you will be able to join in local film nights, local jazz festivals and throughout the summer, meals and live music in the adjacent outdoor Place Parias. Enjoy.
