We recently spent three nights at the HR Hôtel & Spa Marin and, unfortunately, left feeling rather disappointed. While the hotel boasts a fantastic seaside location, which naturally brings a certain level of humidity, the pervasive musty odor in our room (room number six) was a significant issue. It smelled distinctly of old furniture or damp clothing, creating an unpleasant environment.
Despite raising this concern with the hotel management, the problem remained unresolved throughout our stay. To our dismay, even after arriving in Paris, our clothes still retained the damp and musty smell from the room.
On a positive note, the hotel staff were consistently friendly and helpful. However, the fundamental quality of a hotel experience hinges on the comfort and sleep quality of its rooms, and in this regard, the HR Hôtel & Spa Marin fell short of our expectations.
While we certainly plan to return to the beautiful island in the future, we will undoubtedly be seeking alternative accommodation for our next visit.
