Juste pour un verre en terrasse, prix corrects pour l'île de ré.

Serveur désagréable et hautain. Très mauvais service, on s’est senti mal à l’aise.
Un refus d’adapter le menu a notre guise alors que selon la politique le client est roi. Réponse froide et crue, des réflexions inadmissibles envers tous les clients.
Le serveur nous balançait les commandes à la figure, on a été forcé de partir.
Ne donner pas un sous à ce « restaurant »et surtout à cette homme qui visiblement devrai changer de métier.

Looks like a lovely place but spoiled by poor customer handling and a rude manager. If you read his responses on here to other 1* star reviews he appears to think that a business is only entitled to good reviews, but rarely disputes the facts that have been stated.
We were a group of 8, two families, who the manager completely refused to accommodate in the restaurant for lunch. We suggested (in French) that we could split into two groups but he did not accept that solution saying they were too busy. He then let another group (5 people) have a table in front of us. It was beyond him to consider that we might wait for tables to become free.
It's pretty standard for a restaurant to give an indication of a waiting time when busy, but this manager did not think to do that. For context we arrived at 1330h, and they serve from midday to 21h. He gave the impression that he did not want our custom at all - I lost count of how many times he said 'no' to us in one sentence. We went to Les Anneries nearby and had a lovely lunch with great service.
If you look at my past reviews, you'll see I have only given good ratings - where I have had a bad experience I give feedback at the time rather than post a review, and see how they respond. Usually they take the feedback graciously, even if they may not agree. It will be interesting to see what he says in response to this.
