Restaurant avec une bonne cuisine dans un joli village

We had a lovely room with a balcony facing the village square, although having no air con in the room made it impossible to sleep at night. Apparently, some of the rooms have air con so ensure you ask for one. The room was decorated in medieval style with authentic period style furniture. The hotel itself is housed in several converted buildings, some of which go 400 years back, according to the receptionist, and the hotel building itself is pretty much a maze of corridors - really special. Our room also had a fantastic bathroom with complimentary toiletries (including body lotion which seems to be a rarity in France). The icing on the cake was the swimming pool in the garden - small but perfect for chilling on a hot day. The hotel also provides bath robes and pool towels, adding that little touch of luxury. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant, which seems to be quite popular with the locals too. The food was delicious and the service was great, although towards the end of the evening the staff looked swept off their feet as it got really busy. The restaurant and the hotel staff were pretty busy yet made us feel welcome and looked after during our stay. There's also a fantastic gift shop attached to the hotel and the place itself is perfectly located in the very heart of Sare, which we thought deserves the title of the prettiest village in Basque - move over Ainhoa. And don't forget to visit a local art shop just behind the boulangerie - a little treasure selling art by nine local artists.

Un accueil particulièrement chaleureux. Surtout un conseil qui nous a été donné : partir tôt au train de La Rhune car le parking est vite plein !

Poca calidad y menos cantidad. Las raciones son ridículamente pequeñas. Menú 25/30€. El sitio es bonito y agradable

De passage juste pour une soirée, le service est a la hauteur de ce que l'on s'attends a trouver dans un 4☆

Joli établissement avec beaucoup de charme, très cosy. Propriétaires et personnel aux petits soins, très sympathiques. Chambre confortable, très propre. Bonne cuisine, tant au petit déjeuner qu'au dîner, avec des produits de qualité.
Je recommande.

Conocimos a Juan, el propietario del edificio, mientras pediamos unas copas de vino. La terraza que da a la calle principal nos atrajo y decidimos probar. Tras servirnos entablamos una agradable conversación donde nos contó que era el dueño y que el edificio había pertenecido a su familia por mas de 400 años y ahora él lo regentaba. Tras un par de copas nos invitó a pasar y nos hizo un tour por el hotel. La magia nos hizo transportarnos a eras pasadas, cada detalle se notaba cuidado y se veía a sus ojos el resplandor de la emoción, el entusiasmo y la pasión mientras hablaba del edificio y sus recuerdos. Volveremos sin dudarlo. Gracias Juan

En arrivant au bout de la terrasse on peux acheter l excellent gâteau Basque à déguster sans compter.
L accueil de la patronne avec l accent Basque est tout à fait charmant. Nous avons réservé la chambre tradition , taille correcte , décoration faite avec goût calme , bon lit et jolie salle de bain peignoir à disposition.
Nous avons pris le petit déjeuner un délice et nous avons pris le déjeuner tout était parfait !
Le service, la qualité des produits, le fait maison et local un vrai bonheur.
Nous avons profité de la belle piscine pour nous détendre après une journée de marche .
Nous avons passé un très bon week-end et nous y reviendrons avec plaisir pour les chants Basque.

Parfait.

L’Hôtel Restaurant Arraya est situe plein centre de Sare. Stationnement proche sur la grande place prés du fronton. C’est un ancien bâtiment (relais de la poste à l’époque) entièrement restauré avec une piscine dans le jardin. Nous sommes venus pour le restaurant. Accueil très agréable. La salle est authentique à la région avec une certaine intimité au niveau de la disposition des tables. Les produits sont frais et locaux. Assiettes bien composées et bien garnies. A conseiller malgré un tarif un peu élevé.

Un hôtel au charme inouï. Tout est d'un goût exquis, raffiné dans le moindre détail.
Une élégance que l'on retrouve aussi dans l'accueil

Le service est vraiment parfait. La carte est alléchante et les plats sont délicieux. Leur gâteau basque est un des meilleurs que je n'ai jamais mangé.
