Une belle découverte pour ma part. Je reviendrai, aussi bien pour la qualité de la chambre et de l'accueil que de l'emplacement au cœur du quartier commerçant + garage fermé pour mon véhicule.

Tout était parfait du début à la fin. Accueil chaleureux, les gérants et le personnel sont très sympathiques et aux petits soins. L’hôtel est très bien situé entre la plage et le port, tout se fait à pied. La propreté est irréprochable et les chambres sont impeccables. Le petit déjeuner avec les produits de la région est à tester, c’est très bon ! |Vous avez un dépose minute pour décharger vos bagages à l’hôtel et la possibilité de bénéficier d’une place de parking pendant votre séjour. |Cela nous a été très utile, merci encore à eux pour l’accueil !

First time visiting Saint Jean de Luz. Hôtel Les Almadies is a gem situated in the heart of town. Shops, restaurants, supermarkets, beach, market hall with the freshest produce, cheese, ham, yogurt bread, local catches, all within a few minutes walk.
The owners of the hotel are friendly and thoughtful. Timely communication prior and during visit. They offered lovely suggestions for food and activities. They were even able offer ideas for day trip in San Sebastián.
We felt safe and at home walking in.
The breakfast was delightful with a variety of fresh baked goods, fruits, local hams and more. The local yogurt was incredible with cherry confiture.
Would highly recommend this hotel and looking forward to an opportunity to visit again.

We had a fantastic stay at Hôtel Les Almadies – Coeur de Ville during the Fêtes de la Saint-Jean in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and we truly couldn’t have picked a better place.
The location is perfect — right in the heart of the town, surrounded by lovely shops, restaurants, cafés, and the local market, with the beautiful beach just a short walk away.
Our room was cozy and very comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the street. It gave us a front-row view of the St. John’s Day parade, which was a real treat – and fortunately, the room remained peaceful and quiet at night despite all the festivities.
Each morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast featuring local fruits, pastries, breads, cheeses, and cold cuts – a wonderful introduction to the region’s incredible produce.
One of the highlights was the warm hospitality of the hosts. The husband is French and the wife American, so as native speakers of both French and English, they were able to offer truly helpful, tailored advice no matter your background. They were also incredibly friendly and welcoming – we felt immediately at ease and well looked after throughout our stay.
We also took a short 30-minute drive to San Sebastián in Spain for a day trip – highly recommended! The food scene there is extraordinary, and it’s easy to see why the city is famed for its high concentration of Michelin stars.
All in all, Hôtel Les Almadies was a memorable part of a magical trip. We can’t wait to return!

A wonderful boutique hotels with a Basque flair.
Saint-Jean-de-Luz is a gem and Hotel Les Almadies is at the center of it. Situated in the middle of the main walking street. Beach, restaurants, shops, local market, bus and train stations are all around no more than a few minutes walk away. We spent hours hanging out at the beach, beautiful both day and night. The local market has a huge selection of cheese, meat, fresh oysters and seafood, pastries, local produces: so much good food it became a battle of the will really. We went to Biarritz and San Sebastián for day trips, both only 30ish minutes away and lots of fun.
The hotel rooms and beds were very comfortable. Large bathrooms. We stayed during the massive St. John’s Day Festival (Fêtes de la Saint-Jean, massive fun!), and the double glass doors soundproofed really well.
Hosted by a lovely couple. The dashing gentleman gave great local advices. The lady was most helpful, and makes you feel like you’re a staying at a good friend’s home.

I stayed at Hôtel Les Almadies during the Fête de Saint Jean de Luz and had a fantastic experience. The location couldn’t be more central—perfect for enjoying the festivities and just a short walk from the beach. The hotel even provided a beach umbrella, which was a thoughtful touch.
Breakfast was a real highlight: generous, delicious, and full of local specialties. I especially loved the cherry jam, which came from local producers you can also find at the Sunday market. A great stay that truly captured the charm of the Basque Country!

What a wonderful stay at the hotel, close to the beach, train station and everything else. I thought it was going to be noisy during our stay due to the Fete de Saint Jean de Luz, but it was surprisingly quiet. The hosts were the best part of the stay, they were very friendly and accommodating!

It was a wonderful stay at this cute hotel located in the heart of the town.
My first time in Saint-Jean-de-luz , and find this hotel super convenient, all the shops and markets just nearby. Few minutes walk to the beach.
The room is in decent size, very cool and airy in the summer.
Most importantly, the host are very friendly.
I will definitely come back to this if I come visit here again !

Wonderful, boutique hotel, especially if you’re American, Jen, the proprietor is also an American and has so many tips as to where to go where to eat what to see this is my second stay. I can’t imagine being anywhere else extremely clean and well appointed location could not be more perfect.

Très bon accueil.|Hôtel en plein centre ville dans une rue piétonne, à 5mn de la "Grande Plage".|A 1mn du parking "Cœur de Ville", à moins de 10mn à pied de la gare.|Nuit calme.|Belle chambre propre avec tout ce qu'y est nécessaire.|Bon petit-déjeuner.

First, I would say we felt like we were staying with family. That is the personal touch provided by Jennifer and Matthieu. They went out of their way (and did not have to do so) to make our stay special. We hated so much to leave and cannot wait to return. The rooms were comfortable, inviting and spotless. Every last detail considered and high quality appointments with well thought out personal touches everywhere. The hotel breakfast is not to be missed -- fresh and local healthy items (and filling). The location in town is perfect -- easily walkable to every restaurant, ice cream spot, grocery store, beach or shopping location in town. Parking is easy (recommend indigo lot immediately behind the hotel -- only 13€/day). The hotel offers the opportunity for local hiking trips and we really enjoyed hiking with Matthieu in the Basque country -- absolutely beautiful. After our hike, he took us to a traditional Basque cider house and then returned us to the hotel. Another highlight of our time there. The location of St Jean de Luz in general is perfect for visiting the region as a home base. So much to do in the town and so easy to navigate. Will look forward to returning again one day. Charmant petit hôtel familial a l’atmosphère reposante dans le centre de St Jean de Luz , tout près de la mer.|Certaines chambres ont un balcon duquel on a l’impression de participer à la vie d’un village tout en pouvant ensuite s’isoler au calme grâce à un double vitrage très efficace. |Excellent petit déjeuner avec de nombreux très bons produits locaux de telle sorte que même en séjour prolongé on a l’impression de varier les petits dej. Parfait aussi bien pour les amateurs de repos que d’activités.

Emplacement idéal pour ce charmant petit hôtel, ( près de la plage et des commerces). La chambre est bien insonorisée, confortable, très propre et bien équipée. Les hôteliers sont discrets et disponibles. Le petit déjeuner est parfait, agrémenté de produits locaux ( Gâteau basque, confitures de cerises et fromages e brebis etc.) Nous recommanderons.

Que ce soit les chambres (qualité de la literie , salle de bain moderne et fonctionnelle , petites attentions sur la table : café , thé etc...) ou le petit déjeuner (bien garni avec des produits locaux de très grande qualité : jambon Maskarada , une très belle découverte, des confitures artisanales, des fromages basques , des yaourts fermiers , jus d'orange frais ,etc....) on ne peut qu'apprécier cet hôtel tenu par des propriétaires sympathiques et à l'écoute .

Hôtel idéalement situé en plein centre de Saint Jean de Luz. Accueil comme chez des amis, tout est prévu dans les chambres : thé, café, biscuit, macarons, mini frigo, parapluie. Literie excellente. Petit déjeuner local, avec des produits succulents. Belle découverte. Adresse à découvrir

En revanche la deco et la SDB sont vieillottes et démodées (moquette tachée, carrelage fissuré). Le petit déjeuner est bon mais n’est pas un petit déjeuner continental pour autant (15€/personne en plus c’est trop pour ce que c’est), la « salle à manger » n’est pas agréable avec la TV allumée à côté en permanence, la nappe était tachée.
10€ de parking par jour. Total presque 200€ la nuit tout compris ça fait beaucoup s’il pleut en plus.
