I highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant in the Loire Valley.
The dishes offered are made of seasonal and local products, and very tasty. The chef is very respectful of dietary restrictions and makes the necessary alterations to ensure every customer enjoys a lovely meal.
Our party especially recommends the mushroom tarte (starter), which was absolutely delicious and vegetarian.
A special shout out to the wine selection, which was impressive! The sommelière really knows her stuff!
All in all, a very pleasant experience, highly recommended!

The problem is .... wait ... there are no problems here. The cooking here mixes tradition and invention, without the invention getting in the way of the reason we all come to France. The maigre (jewfish or mulloway) here must have been 6-8kg, and it flakes and juices as only sensitively line caught, well butchered fish will. The rest of the plate is handled in a manner so French it makes love, not war. The desserts are 90s cool and steeped in good cookery, so they come together like great flavours will. Very good bread survives freezing, so we can enjoy it on this Monday visit. The wine by the glass from nearby Saunur also keeps up the quality, as does the multilingual service. Highly recommended.

Cuisine faite maison, avec un certain amour des produits de saison et une grande maîtrise des cuissons, servi dans une terrasse végétalisée, très cosy. Service souriant et agréable. Belle carte des vins du coin. Un incontournable si vous passez par Montsoreau.
