Avec mon.compagnon, F. FLOCH, nous avons séjourné 1 semaine dans l'Hôtel de la Croix Blanche. Hôtel très bien placé, sur une très jolie petite placé et juste à côté de l'abbaye.

All members of our classic car group were thrilled with our stay in your charming hotel and with the exceptional and friendly service from all your team. The 18 rooms were delightful (particularly our room 8 - thank you!), and the pool provided great relief after some hot driving days. The parking was easily found and just what we needed for our 1950/60s Giuliettas.

The quirky layout of the hotel was perfect for socialising outside in the shade and enjoying indoor or outdoor dining with delicious dishes and wines. The location in the centre of beautiful Fontevraud was perfect.

So thank you again for all the arrangements that worked out so wonderfully and were hugely enjoyed by all.

We weren't quite sure what to expect at La Croix Blanche because we have limited experience with hotels in the Logis chain and they often appear to be old-fashioned from the outside. But La Croix Blanche turned out to be great -- it is in the heart of the town square directly across from the Abbey. We were greeted warmly, put our bikes in their secure indoor storage, and went up to our room (second floor, overlooking the flower filled courtyard). The room was spacious, had a sofa and chair to relax in, a modernized bathroom, and furnishings in good condition (although a little old fashioned). The weather was mild and because our room overlooked the courtyard, we could leave the window open a bit and did not need to ask for a fan (no a/c). Since it was a Saturday night, I had made a reservation at the adjoining restaurant (good thing, because it was extremely busy due to an evening event at the Abbey). The menu du jour was delicious, served quickly, and left us totally stuffed after a day's bike riding. The breakfast buffet was very complete and served in a spacious room on the property overlooking the courtyard. The hotel was also happy to store our bags the next morning for a few hours so we could tour the Abbey.

Bon emplacement, mais service très décevant.

L’hôtel est bien situé et les chambres sont plutôt confortables, mais le service laisse clairement à désirer.

Des frais supplémentaires de 25€ m'ont été facturés pour une arrivée avant 15h30, malgré un prix de chambre de 200€ la nuit. Pire encore, un autre supplément de 25€ m’a été prélevé au moment du départ pour un check-out dépassant l’heure prévue d’à peine une heure. Aucune compréhension ni flexibilité, malgré mes remarques à la réception.

Par ailleurs, aucun fer à repasser disponible en chambre, ce qui est surprenant à ce niveau de gamme.

Au final, une gestion rigide et peu orientée client, qui donne le sentiment qu’on privilégie les petits profits immédiats au détriment de l’expérience. Très décevant.
