We were seated after clearly stating we just wanted two glasses of champagne. After about 10 minutes of waiting with no service, another staff member came over and we repeated our order, again specifying we weren’t planning to eat. The champagne finally arrived, only to be followed immediately by a very rude man who told us drinks were not allowed without ordering food.
This policy had never been mentioned before, and given that it was between lunch and dinner service with plenty of empty tables, it felt completely unnecessary - and frankly, disrespectful. When I asked if we should leave, he simply repeated that drinks weren’t allowed without food. So we got up and left.
Overall, the staff was unfriendly, unwelcoming, and the whole experience was needlessly unpleasant. Would absolutely not recommend this place.
