HÔTEL MARGUERITE D'ANJOU ^{* *}

Super logement ! Pour une nuit l’hotel est situé juste en face de l’office de tourisme ce qui permet de prendre des informations rapidement. De plus il offre une vue imprenable sur le château d’Angers !
Personnel extrêmement agréable, je recommande à 100%

What a gem. Perfect location directly facing Angers Chateau (a royal fortress which displays the Apocalypse Tapestry - a must see even if you are not generally interested in tapestries). We arrived early at the hotel, around a 10 - 12 minute walk from the train station, to such a warm and friendly welcome - in English too - much appreciated after a week touring the Loire constantly thinking and talking French! As expected, our room was not ready but Christophe arranged with the cleaner to have the room prepared immediately whilst we were invited to wait with a coffee in the cafe, which acts as the reception area too. This is not a large/fancy hotel, basically bedrooms above a cafe which is very popular with locals and tourists alike. Our room was spacious with a fabulous view across to the chateau: the beds comfortable, bedding and towels of good quality, large bathroom and separate toilet. We have stayed in higher grade hotels and not had such good accommodation. Breakfast is optional, but after the first morning we were so pleased we booked for the following 2 morning breakfasts which apart from the usual beverages, croissants and rolls (all fresh from the bakery next door - fabulous!), there was fresh fruit, lovely yoghurts and fruit purees plus cereals and hard boiled eggs and cheese, more than adequate choice for a continental breakfast. There is a small lounge area which we used once to relax with a bottle of wine from the cafe, and enjoy some delicious pastries which we bought from next door ( Christophe's suggestion and he even provided us with plates). We were provided with a map and given excellent recommendations for places to eat at night. Everyone we met at the hotel was so friendly and helpful - special mention to Sammy (the cheese guy) who speaks excellent English! All in all a really lovely relaxing stay - so much so that we're planning on returning next year.

En déplacement professionnel, c'est mon 2ieme séjour dans cet hôtel idéalement placé face au château, à deux pas du centre ville et des restaurants. Chambre confortable, petit déjeuner excellent et accueil au top. Réservation les yeux fermés!

La chambre est très propre. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est parfait, face au château et place de parking devant l'hôtel.
Très bon petit déjeuner.
L'accueil est excellent ,avec sourire et bienveillance. Je reviendrai avec plaisir ????
